Sai Kingdom Yatra Day 9: Wednesday 3rd August 2005

Morning Darshan

Swami appeared in His car for Darshan just before 8 am. Vedic Recitals and

beautiful background instrumental music began. He gave Darshan to the sisters’

and brothers’ side and then His car stopped for a short time on the brothers’

side of the Veranda.

After a few minutes, Swami’s car left the Sai Kulwant Hall. At 9 am Bhajans

commenced and Swami returned at 9:05 am from the side of His Residence. He went

past the sisters’ side and then onto the Veranda. Swami graciously spoke to the

Sai Kingdom Group leader and blessed the Sai Kingdom afternoon programme.

Swami went into the Mandir. Bhajans lasted for 30 minutes and then Mangal Aarti

was performed. Swami left the Sai Kulwant Hall for His Divine Residence at 9:35

am.

Afternoon Darshan

Swami was driven in the Sai Kulwant Hall at 3pm while Vedam chanting and

instrumental music was going on. The music Qawali boys dressed in typical

Qawali costume and children from the UK Pilgrimage Group was seated in the

front of the verandah and the rest of the Group were seated on the side

(sisters) and in front (brothers) of the verandah. In the meantime the

programme for “Qawali Ki Shyam Sai Ke Naam” were being distributed to devotees

seated in the verandah and the Sai Kulwant Hall.

Swami did a full round of Darshan from the sisters side to the brothers’ area,

over to the verandah and once again making an exit to His residence area. Soon

we heard that the main gates were opened for Swami to be driven out. Swami

returned at 3.50pm from the middle pathway at the brothers’ area (where the

brothers in the Group were seated) and over to the verandah. During the entire

Darshan of this afternoon, He looked at most of the devotees in the Group. He

was then taken into the Interview room where He was there until 4.20pm. While

He was in the Interview room, He asked one of His boys to convey to the UK

Pilgrimage Group to commence the programme.

The programme began with Vedam chanting by 6 boys and 3 girls from the Group.

After this, a sister from the Group recited the Azaan, continued with

Al-Fatiah. Qawali programme then began with thunderous singing and Qawali

clapping from the boys. During the first Qawali Swami came to the portico and

this energised the Qawali boys even more! During the programme Swami looked at

the Qawali boys, the team that offered the performance yesterday and other

devotees from the Group too. Swami was enjoying the music, exhibited by his

smiles, various gestures and tapping of His Hand during the programme. At

around 4.55pm, Swami asked for bhajans and the boys followed the Divine

Command.

Aarti was conducted at 5.20pm by a youth (brother) and sister from the medical

team. At this time, 4 youth made various offerings of flowers and cards to

Swami. Like a Mother, Swami patted on one boys’ cheek and from the other, He

blessed the release of the official Heart to Heart newsletter (Issue 4 – Guru

Poornima Issue). Following the Divine approval, the newsletter was distributed

to all devotees in the Sai Kulwant Hall.

Swami returned to His Divine Abode thereafter.
