KURRUVA NAYANAR bold;font-style:normal">Kalandhaik Kon Kurruvar font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold"> was true devotee of the Lord Shiva who always kept the feet f the matted haired Lord in his mind. He was a humble servant to the devotees but a very courageous person and always with flying colours in the combats with the enemies. He won the battles and saved many innocent from the horrible practise of ruling of some Kings. This was regarded by a great boon by the true devotees of Lord Shiva who suffered from these Kings. His valour won a vast land and wealth. He could take the pride of having the powerful in all the four kinds of armies - squads of elephants, speeding horses, showy still strong chariots and specialized soldiers. So, wanted to build an own Kingdom in this massive land he won. So, he approached the priests of Thillai (Thillaivaz Andhanar) for his coronation. But they refused saying, "Except for the emperors in Chola tradition we do not do that ceremony". So he moved to the mountain state of font-style:normal">Cheralam (Kerala) making some of the priests of Thillai to take care of the crown. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">He felt sad on his failure to get coronated by the priests of Thillai. Kurruva prayed to the Merciful Lord who resides in the form of pleasing dance to put His Lotus feet as the crown on his head and thereby coronate him. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:purple;font-weight:bold">The Almighty was pleased with his devotion and service, granted his wish. The Compassionate Lord crowned Kurruvar by palcing His peerless feet on the devotee’s head in the sweetest dream of Kurruvar. color:blue;font-weight:bold">He got the coveted coronation!!! Kurruva who served his people with all his wealth got the coronation directly from the Lord. Instead of getting crowned by the priests of Thillai he got coronated by the power which is prayed by the priests of Thillai !! His tremendous wealth served the true objective of earning as he spent it on the worship of the Lord of the world with the world worshiping his love for the Lord Shiva. While the money that is spent for material benefits never returns, the property that was used by Kurruvar out of his prosperous loving heart, brought him the worthy of all wealths - blissful place in the feet of God. 10.0pt;font-family:Arial"> 10.0pt;font-family:Arial">Sai Ram 10.0pt;font-family:Arial"> 10.0pt;font-family:Arial">Shivathmika Attachment: (image/jpeg) image001.jpg [not stored]
