Guest guest
Sai Ram Gina n Others, Go to Google.com n give the key words as "varalakshmi prayers" n go to the link offered by ammas.com (ask agent). two main links are there when you give this. these two will lead to so much info. there are so many links through this website that gives so many details including the preparation of prasadam/offering dishes to the Goddess. I read some where that u can buy the CD of the pooja procedure from eprarthana.com. you can browse that also. Regarding the prayers, you can just give "lakshmi prayers" in google and you will get thousands in english majorily. In puttaparthi they read sree suktham. the text of it is there in this link: http://www.stephen-knapp.com/prayers_to_goddess_lakshmi.htm you can chant any lakshmi stotra daily, sata namavali or any other stotra on lakshmi, whichever you prefer. the difference b/n the special day prayers n the regular ones is: on the G8 day, there will be kalasa pooja(a rounded vessel with new clothe n coconut on the top n some gold ornament). they will chant some prayers inviting the Goddess in to that kalash...they call it as aavahanam...they invite the goddess to be in front of them n chant the special stotras for the vara/vaibhava/sowbhagya lakshmi along with stotras for the prasadam nivedan/offering and the harathi. there are so many sites which offer these in english along with the meaning...one can offer this not only on varalakshmi vratam day (if they skip it) but also on any friday in the auspicious month. tuesdays can also be used if unavoidable. the whole month itself is for the divine Lakshmi amma. I hope this helps, Hari Om, In the heart of silence, one can hear the foot steps of God. Sailaja Konakalla
