Guest guest
AUM SAI RAM My parents were'Bhaish caste'; my Papa was a sugarcane planter and my mama ,a housewife;my parents sent me and all my sibblings to school, college and uni. We ate goat meat and fish, but no beef and pork. When I was called at the bar at Lincoln's Inn,I met my husband to be,a Brahmin. We got married. To my utter disappointment, from morning to nite,I was mocked, sneered at and ridiculised by the members of my husband's family for being a 'tination'-a lower caste. Yet,my husband and his elder brother, both ate beef and pork. Today ,when I read the comments on'Brahmin and Bhajans', I feel the same pain and torment which I felt and have had to endure throughout my married life. Bhagawan Baba says: "There is only one caste, the caste of Humanity!". Are we human enough to understand the message? Bhagawan Baba says: "Hurt never!" Are we educated enough to refrain from hurting others? at the lotus feet of Sai.anita.

Sairam: Caste system was based on vocations in the beginning. Viswamithra, who gave Gayathri Mantra, was born warrior class, a king and become a Brahmin by realizing Brahman. Dhrona born in brahmin caste lead the army during war and taught weaponry to Kings. Today caste is Doctors, Lawyers, teachers, blue color workers and so on. There should not be a division among people. We can grow as partners but not apart. Swami is born in Vaishya sect, Krishna was a Yadava. What does matter. We are all children of God,known by many names. Sweet is in different containers made of different Mattel. But when one eats it is Sweet. So the Soul may be in different body but it is part of the same God. Time will come world will be color blind(people will not see the skin color), caste less one. So all humanity is one caste and its language is language of the heart. Partha Saipriyudu ---------- Suroor <suroorhasflipped Wed Jul 27, 2005 8:58am Re: [saibabanews] There is only one caste... Sai Ram Anita It is sad to hear wat uve had to endure throughout ur marriage. My eyes welled up readin your message, and its nice to see how you have tolerated adversity using God as your guiding stone. Being a muslim devotee of Sai in America, I too have often felt like being treated like you. If you read Bhaghawaan's beautiful Guru Poornima discourse, He says "If you aspire to attain His grace, you have to contemplate on Him incessantly. Worldly difficulties come and go. One should not attach much importance to them." .. he also says .."Never give room for any type of weakness. Be always courageous. When you adhere to Swami's words, the power of Sai will manifest in you. Chant any name of your choice, Easwara, Rama, Krishna, etc., but always remember that God is one" ...Words we should all adhere to at this day and age with all the problems that we have.. Narrow mindedness cannot be overcome easily, but Bhagawaan is the best starting point to overcome any problem. May Sai Always keep me Humble... at his feet... -Suroor ---------- "sairamdoris" <sairamdoris Wed Jul 27, 2005 9:45am RV: [saibabanews] There is only one caste... My dear Anita ,The Master and the Teacher of Teachers are with you then wath to say ?, it`s true as Bhagawan Baba says: "There is only one caste, the caste of Humanity!". a true Brahmin never say that he`s more advanced that others his heart is so sweet that can`not hate never Beyond Varna and Asrama In the teachings of Lord Caitanya, especially in this perverted age of Kali, the passage mentioned above, wherein it says that it does not matter whether a person is a brahmana, sannyasi, or a sudra, is important. The qualification for a spiritual master is that he must be thoroughly conversant in the art and science of devotional service. This is revolutionary to the stereotyped, so-called spiritual mastership prevailing among the masses in India. The exploitative method is herein dealt a deadly blow and this truth is established by the devout followers of Sri Caitanya Maha- prabhu's conception. The fact is that a person who is thoroughly conversant about bhakti ,or Sri Krsna can become a spiritual master either as an initiator or an instructor. It does not matter whether such a person is a brahmana, ksatriya, vaisya, or a sudra. Nor does it matter whether he is a brahmacari, grhastha, vanaprastha, or a sannyasi. The only qualification of a spiritual master is his knowledge of the truth about Sri Krsna. The qualification certainly does not rest on his particular situation in terms of the system of varnasrama-dharma. This order of Lord Caitanya, although apparently revolutionary to the non-progressive opportunists, is not at all against the injunctions of the scriptures. Following this principle, Lord Caitanya Himself took initiation from Sripad ˆsvara Puri, and Lord Nityananda Prabhu and Advaita Prabhu took initiation from Sripad Madhavendra Puri Goswami. Rasikananda Prabhu took initiation from Srila Shyamananda Prabhu, who appeared in the family of a non- brahmana, and Sri Ganga Narayana Cakravarti and Sri Ramakrsna Bhattacarya took initiation from Srila Narottama dasa Thakura, who also happened to appear in the family of a non-brahmana. In the ancient literatures, it is written that there are no hereditary considerations for becoming a spiritual master. In the Mahabharata and other historical literatures, there are innumerable examples of non-hereditary gurus and determination of caste by quality and action rather than by birth. In the Srimad- Bhagavatam (7.11.35), it is said that a person should be classified as belonging to a particular varna or caste in terms of his qualification: yasya yal-laksanam proktam pumso varnabhivyanjakam yad anyatrapi drsyeta tat tenaiva vinirdiset According to Bhagavad-gita, a really qualified brahmana possesses nine qualities, a ksatriya seven qualities, a vaisya three qualities, and a sudra only one quality. So, wherever the particular qualities are found or developed, the person possessing these particular qualities should be regarded as such. Accepting this formula from the scriptures, the Vaisnava accepts a spiritual master upon his becoming conversant in the knowledge of Sri Krsna. The qualities of a brahmana appear naturally, and, as such, a thoroughly conversant spiritual master cannot be anything but a qualified brahmana. The false notion that without being a caste brahmana a person cannot become a spiritual master is therefore a misconception. A person born in the family of a sudra can become a spiritual master if he has acquired the necessary knowledge about Sri Krsna. Sometimes it is seen that a pure Vaisnava does not undergo the formalities of the system of varnasrama-dharma by accepting the regulative principles thereof, but that does not mean that he is not a brahmana or a bona fide spiritual master. The Vaisnavas determine the varna and asrama of a person simply by their symptoms and not by their birth. Foolish people are unable to recognize such qualified Vaisnavas, and as such Lord Caitanya distinctly emphasizes all the above mentioned points. There is no difference in essence between the regulative principles found in the Hari-bhakti-vilasa and the statements of Lord Caitanya. The difference is concocted by the mental speculations of ignorant men. And remember. Because our religion is sanathana religion. From the creation of the world religion is there and parampara is there. And Lord Krishna is our Supreme Lord. And his incarnations, his expansions are many like( jesus or mahoma or more...). And mahajano yena gata sa pantha... We have to follow the path of mahajanas. Who are mahajanas? Svayambhu. Narada, Sambu, Kumara, Kapila, Manu, Prahlada, Janaka, Bhisma, Bali Cakravarti, Sukadeva Goswami and Yama Dharmaraja. These are 12 mahajanas . Then wath to say ABOUT PRAHLADA,his father was Hiranyakashipur, and Prahlada in the vedic literature is consider ONE OF THE 12 MAHAJANAS ONE OF THE 12 conversant in the art and science of devotional service. So, anybody ask you "what dharma you are following?": you are following bhakti dharma. Culture, developed and, and delivered to all the jivas, is bhakti yoga and bhakti sastra only. And in this Kali yuga as arcana or puja or yagya or other items of worship are not important. You have to do that, but only namam is important. "...always look at the positive side of things... Guest guest
I read with tears welling up in my eyes too. The only caste in this world is the caste of Humanity. To be born as a human is a heavenly gift from God, does it matter what caste u rr from? Me and my husband were born and brought in S'pore. I grew up not knowing my caste and I'm still surviving in this society. We should all be proud and happy to be ourselves. Tell me, what's the advantage in life in being a brahmin and a non-brahmin? The path to GOD is the same for all castes. We adopt the castes from our parents and ancestors, were we born with them? Or when we die, how we going to take the caste title with us? When we reach Bhagavan, we are not going to be divided into caste system? When at Baba's darshan hall in Puttarpathi, everyone belonging to all sorts of castes sits together, waiting eagerly and with extreme and outbursting happiness to receive the Lord's smile and glance. The only medication for u from BABA is NAMAJAPAM. Sister, how can I tell u the wonders of it or the taste of it? U must taste it for yourself. Constant japam, brings you closer to BABA so much so u will begin to see BABA in all souls, even insects and inanimate objects. U will not be disturbed by the people in ur family who ridicule you out of mere ignorance and lack of divine knowledge. U will forgive them and ignore them with much ease. As time goes by, u will be constantly merged in this bliss. And the vibrations of this bliss will gradually transform the people around you for the better. They will start to develop Love and Respect for you. This is all very true and has happened in my life. Practise now and don't let it slip. Just keep chanting, chanting, chanting! Love all Serve all, Anita Sakthi

Guest guest
Om Sai Ram , my dear Sai sisters and brothers , Please can we stop these postings of how we do things . I think in our truthfulness , we unconsciously hurt others . It is because of our demographics that we do what we do . What is important , is showing LOVE to others and making them feel welcome in our ashrams and centres . We need to accommodate at all times . Also remember that the SAI SANGEETAM gives a directive on setting up a shrine and conducting a satsang . Remember what Swami says " BE HAPPY " In Sai service . Basill Padayachee South Africa . Guest guest
Om Sai Raam Papuji, I am not the least bit upset or disturbed. This is an open forum and your thoughts are very welcomed. We all learn from each other..sometimes it is not what you say but how it comes across, it happens to all of us at some point in time. The most common thing we all have here is the LOVE FOR LORD SAI. This is our ultimate goal to realize the divine in all of us and see Good and God in all. May Sai Bless each of you... I offer my humble pranaams at thy Lotus Feet Of My Beloved Lord Sai. Om Jai Sai Raam Radhey Of Canada.
Guest guest
Thank u for your kind words. BABA works thru' all of us, that's for sure! We just have to keep on calling on Him and begging Him to hold us tightly as a mother would to her child. We won't slip from His hands after that. And the only powerful way to call Him, is Namajapam. He comes running to hold us close to Him as we chant His holy name. As a mother would come running to her crying baby. Never let go of the secret password to BABA's infinite presence and love. If u do, undo it immediately! Swamis blessings to all of you too! Love all, Serve all Anita Sakthi
