He didn’t outstand in anyway like the other Nayanars did and even the Merciful Lord Shiva didn’t play any of His dramas to exhibit his unshakable devotion. But, the Great Lord blessed him with eternal bliss as He did for other Nayanars. And thus Kari Nayanar became a typical example of how a devotee should be in doing service to the Lord. In other words, to do service to the Supreme, one need not be a king or have lots of wealth and property. If there is an inclination to work then all the means will come in the way. The skills whatever they could be that is given to one by the Lord should be used to serve Him in the best way. And that’s what Kari Nayanar did and obtained the grace of the Lord. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue">The town Thirukkadavur was the witness to the event of the Lord kicking the king of death “Kala” to death when he tried to take away the life of his loving devotee sage “Markandeya Nayanar.” Kari Nayanar was born in that holy town and was blessed with the art of creating beautiful hymns with crystal words and cryptic meanings and was famous because of his hymns. In the ancient days the poets earn money by singing them in front of the Kings. So, he also went to the three Kings who ruled the three major sections of old “Thamil Nadu” (Chera, Chola and Pandiya ) and with his marvellous songs about the Lord he amused them. In return he received heaps of prizes and money, which he used to do lots of services to the Lord who was the Hero of his praises. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">He built lots of beautiful abodes for the Supreme blue throated Lord. With the wonderful words that will make anybody warm and happy, he donated selflessly to the devotees of the God of the Gods with the heart not forgetting even for a winkling time the wonder on the mount Kailash. He was so proficient in his mother tongue Tamil and made marvellous songs in Tamil while his mind kept mingling into the Marvel. The creativity danced in his words; the Creater danced in his wrathless thoughts. The big kings spent their wealth for his sweet songs; he spent that wealth in getting the wealth of the grace of the King of the Universe by serving Him and His devotees. He established his music and rhythm in this wide world; He also established only the Mahesha color:blue;font-weight:bold">in his broad mind. Like his thoughts that always lived in the snow covered holy peak of Kailash, the most pleasant abode of the Lord for whom the entire Universe is the abode, he too reached that holy place with the blessing of the matted haired Lord Shiva. color:black"> Arial;color:navy">Sai Ram Arial;color:navy">Shivathmika Attachment: (image/jpeg) image001.jpg [not stored]
