Guest guest
Sai Ram, dear sister Raynu, I was very pleasantly surprised to read your message about the inauguration of the South Miami Sai Center's new, beautiful, permanent home in this dear online Sai group and the wonderful puja performed to dedicate it to our Beloved Swami on Guru Purnima evening last Thursday, July the 21st, 2005. The Sai South Miami Center was the first Sai Center I ever visited in my life. It was there that my official 16 year old spiritual walk with Swami began. I went there as a journalist, my profession up to then, commissioned by a local magazine to do a feature article on Sathya Sai Baba and his followers in this city (Miami). Yet, when I arrived at the Center, I realized that I had seen Him before... But that is another story! My feelings of love and appreciation towards Swami's devotees in Miami, West Palm Beach, Orlando and Fort Walton Beach, Florida, are deep and will remain filling up welling my heart with gratitude for as long as I live. I learned everything I know from Swami's devotees. My debt to them at the Sai Miami Center, Sai Central Center and Sai South Miami Center could never be repaid in worldly terms. These are the most wonderful people in the world to me, together with those at the West Palm Beach Sai Center, Orlando Sai Center and Fort Walton Beach Sai Center. And I do hold a special place in my heart for the Atlanta Sai Center as well! When I set foot on the South Miami Center that evening, I didn't know a thing about spirituality. I had received religious instruction, but as Prof. Anil Kumar has said, religion and spirituality are two different things. I began to receive spiritual instruction that evening from the South Miami Center devotees, then my training continued with the Miami Central Center devotees, lovingly knicknamed the "Latin Center", since the majority of Swami's Spanish-speaking devotees in this area gather there. And of course, there is the first Sathya Sai Baba Center founded in Miami, the Sai Miami Center, where I have had beautiful elevating experiences every time I have visited. Miami is thought of as a tourist destination in Florida, a city of sun and fun, etc. Yet, I am living proof that Sai devotees here are extremely loving, faithful, generous, exemplarily dedicated to Swami and to practicing His teachings and willing to take a completely spiritually ignorant person like me by the hand and lead her through the Sai Path with great patience and love, not to mention how generously and unselfishly they have helped me throughout the years. The dedication puja at the beautiful South Miami Center's new location was great. I enjoyed it immensely and felt it was very purifying in nature and very benefitial for all of us. It was a moving, beautiful evening, where we all felt our Swami's Divine Presence and were elevated spiritually by beautiful bhajans and the Sai love coming from every heart. Thank you, dear Raynu, for sharing what you experienced with us in this dear and blessed Sai Baba News Group. You inspired me I truly enjoyed it. May Swami bless you always with his sweetest and choicest blessings, with Sai love, Gina saiyeled284 (AT) comcast (DOT) net Sai Ram Loka Samastha Sukhino Bhavantu -------------- Original message -------------- Sairam to all !I must say that the Inaugration of the New South Miami Center was just wonderful. .....
