Guest guest
here are some useful information taken from the www.saionline.org website. The Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust "I can transform the earth into sky and the sky into earth. But that is not my power; My true power is Love... I have no other riches. The Grace of the Lord is always flowinsaionlg like the electric current through the wire... Come to Me gladly; dive into the sea and discover its depth; there is no use dipping the near the shore and swearing that the sea is shallow and has no pearls. Dive deep and you will secure your desire." Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust was founded by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, as a public charitable trust in 1972. The Sathya Sai Central Trust is in charge of the Sai Baba ashrams and of decisions for all philantrophic projects undertaken in India under Sathya Sai Baba advice and supervision by trustees. The guiding philosophy of the trust is that all basic ammenities, the fundamental needs of every individual, should be available free of charge. The Sathya Sai Central Trust has assigned community service branches throughout India and worldwide, known as the Sathya Sai Organisation and the Sathya Sai Centers. "The main objective of the Sathya Sai Organization -- which you must always keep before you -- is to help man recognize the divinity that is inherent in him. So, your duty is to emphasize the One, to experience the One in all you do or speak. Do not give any importance to differences of religion or sect or status or color. Have the feeling of one-ness permeate every act of yours. Only those who do so have a place in this Organization; the rest can withdraw."Sathya Sai Baba [Ref: Sathya Sai Speaks IX, 35, 187-188 (old edition)]. Donations to the Central Trust Overseas individuals wanting to submit donations to the trust, can inquire from their main Sai Center whether the centers transfer donations to India. Otherwise, donations to the Sathya Sai Central Trust can be issued directly to the Sathya Sai Baba Ashram through the State Bank of India branch inside the ashram in Prasanthi Nilayam, Puttaparthi. Donors can specify any of the following Trust projects, or allow the trust to decide which project your donation should support.Donations can also be mailed per registered post (only) with an acknowledgement receipt request. The payment options are:1. Overseas or inland check payment (foreign currency checks are accepted in India).2. Demand Draft3. Bank TransferAll payments must include a cover letter with your address, phone, fax, and email contacts and the amount you have donated, check/draft number and a request for donation receipt.Checks/drafts should be issued in the name of: Sathya Sai Central Trust. Unregistered mailing have high risks for loss or theft. Checks can be sent to the trust per courier mail. All donations must be issued per registered post only with signed receiver acknowledgement receipt for tracking purposes. Please bear in mind that mail procedures is not the responsibility or within control of any ashram department; take all precautions possible. Any personal donations issued by check should contain two crossed lines at far left, upper corner, with the written words "A/C payee". This will indicate to the bank that checks can only be deposited to the trust account, whoms name should be written on the check. Without the crossed lines, there is no security to the check if it is lost or stolen through theft and deposited by anyone else than the actual Trust account (in India, unless checks specify A/C payee, anyone can act as an authorized recipient and be eligible to cash or deposit the check). Never send cash in the mail! Example: The Sathya Sai Central Trust will issue a receipt generally within two months after receiving a donation. Third-Party Solicitations The Sai Baba Ashram does not officially advertise or ask for donations. There are never accepted third-party sources soliciting donations on behalf of the Sathya Sai Central Trust. Any claims of such fund-raising are in error. Guest guest
Om Sri Sai Ram.Thanks very much for the information. However,we need some more information in the eventuality that someone may need to make a bank transfer. In that case,we'll need the name of the bank in the ashram, the physical address of the bank, the name of the account holder, the type of account being used such as savings or checking account, the number of the account and the routing number or ABA of the bank. Some countries such as mine demand all these details before we can actually send a donation. With love, Your Sai brother, Sase.

Guest guest
Brother Dev has enquired the name he should write on the Bank draft as he wishes to make a contribution specificaly towards Swami's hospitals. As I understand there are different trusts used for different purposes i.e. for General and Super Speciality Hospitals, Education- Schools and Universities, Books & Publication Trust and for General purposes. When we visited Prashanti last, we made our humble offerings at the Lotus Feet of Swami using the Bank within the Ashram. The volunteers in the office suggested that "Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust" name should be used with a specific request for these to be used for all Hospitals which means that the funds will be directed to the Hospitals. I would suggest that Dev can either contact the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust Office in Prashanti by telephone on (0091 8555- 287375 ) or by fax on 287390 who will provide correct name for the Draft, or he can contact his State or country's Chairman of Sai Organisation. I trust that this will assist Dev and others who may be considering doing the same. Sai Ram Bharat
