Guest guest
Dearest Sai Brothers and Sisters, I would like to know is there any institution attached to Prasanthi Nilaym ,for treating and maintaining "mentally retarded children." Do the "Super specialty hospitals" offer any such service for such children? A friend of mine wants this information. Please let me know the details. Sairam. With regards, T.N.LAKSHUMANAN. Guest guest
Dear Sai Family, My brother has retardation, or what we refer to as a cognitive disability, and, after many decades in institutions that were places of isolation and separation from family and community, he now lives in the community. We must help all of Sai's children to live in love, dignity and harmony in the community, not in institutions. I have heard from those who have studied with Our Dear Sai Baba that he teaches that individuals in this life wave who appear in bodies with such disabilities are at the final stage of their work on this plane. My brother is my greatest teacher and I know that he is touching many others with his wisdom and his virtue. Guest guest
Dear Jeff: My sister was brain damaged from a smallpox vaccination and lived in an institution up until 10 years ago. She now lives in a wonderful group home. I was always in a lot pain about this and one day my mediation teacher Hilda Charlton, who lived with Sai Baba before returning back to America told me to stop worrying, my sister was probably happier than I was. I love my sister very much and although she does not speak we communicate on other levels. She definitely lets you know what she wants or thinks. Often I think she lives on a very spiritual plane. I do give her vibhuthi when I see her and she seems to like it. Chana Benjamin
