Swamiji replied: Buddha, Christ, Mohamed and others were not Avatars, although

they had divine powers. Avatars are born only in India, because only here are

the Shastras understood, and only in India the wise ones experiment and

practise constantly.It's similar to a gold mine.Wherever gold is found,

experienced geologists, engineers and miners gather.The gold is extracted from

there which can then be taken to any part of the world.

 

I also remember reading that Swamiji said that Jesus was not an avatar but

rather an avadhoota ( messenger of God )

 

Then in a Xmas discourse,He said that Jesus was an ansa avatar ( not a Purna

Avatar or Complete Avatar like Rama, Krishna or Sai Baba.)

 

Everything in this world is a combination of Purusha ( Divine Consciousness )

and Shakti ( His Energy ).Be it a human being, a dog, a river, a galaxy or a

mountain.Each created object manifests a certain degree of divine qualities.For

example, a dog manifests the divine quality of faithfulness, a mountain of

steadfastness,patience and perseverance, etc.And so each one being a

manifestation of God manifests at least one divine attribute and is an ansa

avatar or an incomplete avatar.Only Avatars like MATSYA, KURMA, VARAHA,

NRISIMHA, VAMANA, PARASHURAMA, RAMACHANDRA, KRISHNA, SHIRDI SAI BABA and SATHYA

SAI BABA have been manifestations of SAT-CHIT-ANANDA from their very birth and

even before.

 

And so like Jesus, Budha and Mohamed, we are all ansa avatars manifesting

certain degrees of divine qualities.Some of us, like Jesus did, manifest more

divine qualities than others.This also explains that there have been billions,

maybe trillions, of avatars since the beginning of creation.We are all

manifestations of Purusha and Shakti and so all names and all forms of all

objects in the universe are His names and forms.And so it can be said that

Jesus, Budha and Mohamed were all avatars.It may be said that being the soul,

we are all manifestations of SAT-CHIT-ANAND. However, we are not yet conscious

of our own consciousness, nor of our eternal existence, nor of our supreme

blissfulness.It's only yet so in theory and because Bhagavan Sai has told us

so. We all need to practise sadhana in order to realise this but Bhagavan SAI

has never had to do any spiritual practice to realise His Supreme Divinity.

 

I guess now you can understand why Swamiji says that the number of Sri

Ramachandra was 7 ( He was the 7th Complete Manifestation of God ),that the

number of Sri Krishna was 8 (He was the 8th Complete Manifestation of God ),

and that the number of Sri Sai Baba is 9 ( He is the 9th Complete Manifestation

of God.The number of any of the three Sai Babas is 9.)If you place Jesus, Budha

or Balaram in between these 9 avatars so far you cannot get the numbers that

Swamiji refers to.

 

It is not my intention to hurt anyone's feelings by means of these

explanations.If you beleive that Jesus, Budha or Balarama , lakshmana or

Shatrughna were avatars then by all means go ahead and venerate them as they

were certainly all forms of God even as you are.

 

I also remember that many years ago, there was a film called The Missing Years

in which Bhagavan Sai appears at the end giving His blessings to this film.It

was a film about the 18 years during which Jesus is missing from the Bible.This

film gives documented evidence as to the whereabouts of Jesus during that

time.Apart from having sojourned to countries like Egypt, Greece,Tibet and

countries in the middle-east, He also spent a great part of his life in India

where his Guru was Udraka.You can also get more information about this in a

book called THE AQUARIAN GOSPEL OF JESUS THE CHRIST written by a yogi in the

state of meditation.His name was Levi.

 

As Swamiji says: you cannot please everyone.Not everyone wants to know the truth

or to accept the truth,

Om Sri Sai Ram brothers and sisters.Once Dr. John Hislop asked Swamiji this

question:Can an avatar be born in another part of the world? ( meaning outside

India ) .....
