His reply does not require a waiting period or further interpretation. It was crystal clear. Once I felt attracted to a man but realized I would not be able to lead a dharmic life with him. Though he reciprocated, I decided to end any contact with him before a relationship started, knowing this to be the right thing to do according to Swami's teachings. I have three photographs of Swami showing Him holding the little white bible with a golden cross on the cover He materialized at Christmas in 1995 or 1996. Shortly after acquiring the pictures, I had a dream with Swami where He showed me three green and gold picture frames with the pictures in them. Though the three were essentially the same picture, each showed Swami from different angles. I then searched for, found and bought the frames, placed the pictures in them and, from that day on, they represented the Holy Trinity, Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara, to me. The day I was ready to tell him not to visit me or seek my company again, I placed the three photographs on my living room's coffee table, facing the couch where I would be sitting. Before I spoke to him, I prayed to Swami to place in my mind the right thoughts, in my mouth the right words and in my heart the right feelings according to His wishes. I don't remember what I said, but it worked. This person called me on the phone and wrote to me after that, but Swami gave me the strength to remain firm in my decision. At first, I felt frustrated. I missed him and still would have wanted to have a relationship with him. Throughout this process, I always talked to Swami. I kept His Divine Face before my eyes. After a while, I began to realize things about this man I had never noticed before. Soon after I did not feel any attraction for him. At some point, I became convinced that he was totally wrong for me and thanked Swami for giving me the strength and inspiration to act in accordance with His Teachings and avoid a great mistake. The only true, eternal, real love is the Love of God. Any other love is transitory, connected to the body, and will eventually end. When we leave this body and this world, all that was dear to us here, and also all that brought sorrow to us, cease to exist. Only our Guru will be our refuge. Therefore, do as Swami says. I can assure you that in my humble but valid experience with Swami, which spans 17 years, everything He has told me would happen, did. Swami always tells the truth. He is Truth Itself. Swami's aim in communicating with you through a dream and giving you this advice is to protect you from a very bad decision that, if you do not follow His Divine Advice, will surely come to regret bitterly in the future. Instead of persisting in what might become your misfortune, ask Swami to bring the right person to your life. He will give you a reply on this as well, I'm sure. May Swami give you the strength and vision to realize the Truth in His Words and may He guide and protect you always, taking you by the hand through the right path. Like i had said before....I too had guidance from swami....the guidnace was not what i was expecting...swami told me face to face in an interview......However,I am only human and was very much in love with this particular person....he had asked me to marry him...but was taking his time! Swami told me....FORGET THE PAST......DON'T CRY......U WILL BE MARRIED SOON........swami said...soon i will be married....so i will marry this person soon! Swami said forget the past....so, swami had told me to forget what had happended with this person in the past...and start fresh,,,with this person!! see....mind tricks....swami also said that i had a monkey mind!! I cam back to the Uk after this trip to swami...i met the man concerned...had known him for 10 years....10 years, no less...he had promised to marry me.....I saw him on a thursday...he told me yes! we are still going to get married but i just need to make money and stand on my own two feet......On the following saturday...that is only 2 days later...my aunt came to visit me and broke the earth shattering news to me...this person...who i was so sure of...has just got engaged to another girl! If thunder and lightening can strike all at once and pierce thru your heart...it did mine at that moment...but u know what.....only swami knows ...i got strength inside me to phone this man and ask if the news is true....he was shunned but admitted yes...all i said is thank you very much....i hope u are very happy! I burnt all the letters etc given to/from him...his photos i sent to swami, asking swami to bless him and his new bride......i swallowed the bitter truth...joined the gym, got myself fit and well again after a month or so....all the while swami in my heart... then one day...i was at a wedding and i saw this most handsome man walking towards me...italian looking, big eyes, gorgeous smile...stocky build...man of my dreams...i wish! I was talking to swami in my heart...swami,,,if u can find me a handsome hunk like this..i would be so happy..(this happended in march...i had been to swami in feb....only one month away.....surely so, this handsome hunk came accross and started to talk to me...he looked italian, sounded spanish and was indian! wow! u know what, with swami's grace, i was married bu august to this man! still married and 2 kids later....still say thank u thank u thank u swami... by the way, it turns out that the other guy had more than two friends in his life! ...still hear news about him and talked to him a while agao...he is not happy in his marrigae(i pray to baba to help solve that and make him happy....afterall, he too is god's child hey!) who are we to judge people. Following Swami's advice, even when it seems contrary to what our mind wants at the moment, is the only way to act, because He knows everything and seeks always our wellbeing and happiness. Our knowledge is limited to what our conscious mind of the present incarnation, or temporary ego, is able to process and to those glimpses of the Truth, that is Divinity, that Swami has blessed us with through interviews, innerviews, dreams, visions and locutions. But Swami knows everything. He knows the past, present and future of all beings and of the cosmos itself. Therefore, when He adivises us to take a certain course of action, we should do it without even thinking twice about it. Only once I disobeyed Swami's instructions, and it was because of compassion towards someone I believed to be a friend. Swami had indicated to me through a revelation in a vision that I should not have contact with this person. I tried to follow, but this person's insistence in procuring my help made me give in. My feelings of compassion for her situation overtook me. And I paid dearly for my mistake. She did incredible bad actions to me, my family and other Sai devotees at our Sai Center too, creating many problems. Of course, she later had to undergo great sufferings, but that was of no comfort to me, because I was already scarred by her bad actions. She later on claimed to repent and I forgave her, but maintained my distance, this time totally sure that what Swami says for us to do we should follow to the letter without even doubting a second. No matter what the outcome, I am totally convinced that it is for our own good. We cannot see or visualize what might happen beyond a certain point. But Swami "knows". The ultimate goal of us as spiritual aspirants or sadhakas is liberation from the cycle of birth, death and rebirth and definite joyous union with the One forever. I believe one hundred percent that, as Swami Himself has said, "happiness is union with God". All that happens in our lives after we came under the guidance, protection and love of Swami is leading to that destination. I pray to devotees to share those 'secret' pages from their lives, which are no borrowed inspiration stories or doubtful dream sequence, but true to life stories of devotees like you and me. (bet you swami is smiling at this comment!) I am trying atleast!!
