Guest guest Posted June 23, 2005 Report Share Posted June 23, 2005 I have heard little about Shirdi Sai Baba and have tried always to read from websites about him.Today I decided to read Sai Satcharitra and know more about him but confusion came and for this I need ye suggestion.In this book it is clearly declared he was born but yet was just found in the jungle as a baby of few days old.So initially it means no one knew about his parents. But in the websites some it says he was born in this family and tht family. What I need is a suggestion or opinion. Do U think this book is rit and I should stick to this story and not search more info in websites? If there is anyone who is sure or has read this book n advice me to carry on reading? I stopped rit away after getting confusion of his birth n adoption with his GURU. So pls inform me if U think this book is rit so I carry on n stick to it n 4get abt the rest of the information. Have faith & go ahead with reading this Sai Satcharithra which confers lot of merit & punyam. This is known as Sapthaha Parayana to fulfil one's wish or achiving something. But if U r unable to do this read atleast a few pages or a Chapter every day. U will learn more abt this noble Saint of Shirdhi as U turn over the pages. One should read it with shraddha (devotion) & faith. U shud try to collect the spiritual gems from Satcharita, contemplate on their meaning and progress on the path. Neglect all those worldly details and assimilate only the spiritual ones. Start reading the book again, but now with a changed attitude. However, there is a journal regularly published by sai sansthan which has published many facts as gathered from authentic sources and notes written by other devotees of Sri Shirdi baba. About his family and parents, exact date of birth etc. Sri Sathya Sai of Puttaparthi has declared and such facts are also included in many other books by different authors. Please continue to read satcharita and you will experience the miracles that your queries are answered at the right time.
