Sammy Sampson, who will be at the 10 a.m. service, is a high school English teacher who began his music career in New York City, where he played and sang in the subways and coffee houses and on the streets. He has also toured with the rock group Chicago and played in Europe and during the last 10 years has sung with the reggae band Shine Eye.
