This is attracting a lot of responses from around the world. Could we not keep

it simple so that everyone can say it easily. Invoke Ganesh with the Ganesh

Gayatri and then the Gayatri Mantra?

With all due respect to the opinions of our brothers and sisters,I think

that what we are looking for is 'A Healing Prayer'.

The Suprabhatham,Hymn of Dawn is a morning prayer;the Gayatri Mantra is a

universal prayer etc.

Why don't we ask our elders( I am middle-aged)?

To be honest with you,I do not know a healing prayer,though I know many

prayers.

When it is 8 am in London ,it is 11 am in Mauritius.

Sai Ram Brother's and Sister's ,

 

I am in awe as this spirit coming from all the corners of the world.

 

It is a small step but a giant leap for Sai devotees as all mankind will benefit from

 

this prayer service irrespective of caste colour creed or religion .

 

Our group name is Sai Prayer group - short form SPG and now when you read from backwards

 

it becomes GPS - which means GOD PLEASE SAVE.

 

First of all we like to thank profusely to our beloved Lord Sree Sathya Sai

Baba for giving us the opportunity to do this prayer service collectively

throughout the world which is unbelievable- Thank you Swami -

 

Secondly to our web master the moderator who consolidated urgent prayer request promptly-

We salute you "Sir"- Thank you so much-

 

Next I want to let you know all that I found a small chit which says - "When you gather all your

 

resources together,Goals are accomplished."I firmly believe I got this from

Swami - Thank you Swami and Thank you to our Brother's and Sister's all over

the world.

 

Now keeping in mind for precious input from all Brother's and Sister's ( Melody

, Meenaskhi, Shesha , Ganesh ,Jyotsna, Madhu, Brother Jatinder Shad,Sister

Sathya, Beena,Sonya,Rama Venu.Saram Doris,Nelly ,Gueza and all Brother's and

Sister's in our Sai Group)

 

Some requested it must be short and there should no difficulty with prayer's

intonation and prouncation as this prayer group will be from all over the

world.

 

So bearing all this in mind and respecting each devotees opinions and of course

with Swami's guidance- Also what I have read from the recent Yagna which was

performed in Swami's presence in Whitefield- We will pray together :-

 

Prayer Time - 7.00 AM morning (nothing to do with Time Zone or GMT as long you

have fixed time which is 7.00 AM morning it doesn't matter whether you are in

Iceland , Japan or in India)

 

Please pick up the names those who have requested for prayers for this Sunday

and for next Sunday Sister Melody will provide us with consolidated list of

urgent prayers as she graciously volunteered (Thank you Sister Melody if you

want my help I am there too)

2. Ganesh Mantra- Aum Sree Ganeshaya Namaha ( Three times)

 

3.Gayatri Mantra - 3 times -- Aum Bhuh ;

Bhuvah Swah ;

Tat Savitur Varenyium ;

 

Bhargo Devasya Dheemahe ;

 

Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat .

Meaning- O Divine Mother, our hearts are filled with darkness.Please lead us

away from this darkness by nurturing this illumination within us. (Bhagawan Sri

Sathya Sai explained this Gyaatri mantra in essence)

 

4.Sai Gayatri- 28 times - Sai Eashwara Vidhamahe

Sathya Devayaa Dheemahe

Tanno Sarvo Prachodayaat

 

Meaning -" O Sathya Sai Deva please enter our minds and inspire such thoughts as

would make our deeds beneficient".

 

5.Maha Mrityonjaya Mantra- 3 times - OM Tryambakam yajamahe

 

Suganndhim

pustivardhanam

 

Urvarukam iva bandhanat

 

Mrtyor muksyeta

nanrtat //

 

Meaning- OM . May that three eyed Lord of eternal fragrance of fame bless us

with prosperity,longevity,and health. Let Him sever us from the clutches of

death,even as cucumber from its creeper. (Let Him not sever us) from

immortality.

 

 

6. (This is optional as this mantra was chanted during Mookambika Yagna at white

field in Swami's presence so I thought to include this mantra well I am going to

chant without fail-

 

Dhanvantari - 3 times - Aum Namo Bhagavathe

 

 

Vasudevaya Dhanvantraye

 

Amruta Kalasa Hasthaya

 

Sarvaamaya Vinaashanaaya

 

Thrailokhya Naathaaya

 

Sri Mahavishnave Namaha

 

Meaning- Obeisances unto the supreme Bhagawan known as Sudarshana Vasudev

Dhanvantari, The holder of the kalasha full of nectar of immortality,who

removes all fears,who removes all diseases, The well wisher of the Three

worlds,and sustainer of the three worlds, He is Vishnu Swarup, By the name

Dhanvantari Empowered to Heal the Jiva souls.

 

7. Loka Samsatha Prayer - 3 times-- Loka Samastha Sukhino Bhavanthu -- 3

times

Meaning - Let whole mankind be Happy and Prosperous.

 

We will also include Swami in our prayers as from recent mail from Sister

Meenakshi it states Student asked Swami - "Please cure youself as you are for

the devotees" and Swami replied-"Yes I will provided your prayers are sincere".

 

 

So we will pray starting this Sunday 7.00 AM ( every Sunday)

I wanted to respond to this email about healing mantra.

The Mrutanjaya Mantra is a mantra to Lord Siva and it

is a very very POWERFUL healing Mantra. It heals the

subtle bodies and the aura and protects the person from

outside forces, influences and negativity.

 

This is the only Mantra I know that can be played out loud .. like music in the

household all day long .. even while your

doing your chores ... Its energy is very clearing and healing.

Many times if someone is in the hospital it is best to take

a tape of it or to just say it out loud next to the person who

is ill.

Gyatri mantra is powerful mantra it has all you name it - power ,glory ,healing protection all all-

 

Swami said to chant Gayatri daily for protection. "Gyayntam Trayate iti Gayatri"-

 

meaning Gayatri is that which protects the one who chants it. In other words , the Gayatri

 

mantra acts as a raksha (protective talisman) for those who always utter it.

 

Bhagawan Sree Sathya Sai Baba explained its characteristics.

 

It is Shabda Brahman ( God in for sound)

 

It is Charachara mayi (that which is connected to mobility and immobility)

 

It is Jyotir Mayi (that which is of the light)

 

It is Vang mayi ( that which is connected with speech)

 

It is Nityananda mayi ( that which is connected with infinite bliss)

 

It is paratpara mayi ( that which is connected with this and other worlds)

 

It is Maya Mayi ( that which is connected with aspects of prosperity/fulness).

 

Swami said " It is a treasure you must guard all through your lives so that it guards you

in its turn. You should recite it several times a day , at least. It will protect you from harm."

 

Swami also said that you can give up any other mantra but dont forget Gayatri Mantra.

books like "Vision of the Divine" and "Living Divinity ".
