In the process of evolution, It took many years for a stone to become a plant and many more years for a plant to become an animal and from animal to human it took some more years. Now we have to reach the final destination that is to say merging with God, the source or realising that we are the divine. For this a guru can become a catalyst in speeding up the process. The incarnation of this age is Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba whom the devotees address as Swami (Master). It is a great good fortune that God Incarnate himself has come as a guru. In Cristianity, I understand it is said God is the Path, Goal and a fellow traveller. How true it is in case of Swami. He is the guide, he is the path and finally He himself is the goal.
