Guest guest
Ram Lakhan, from Kodai Kanal, India Brothers and sisters AUM SRi Sai Ram: It rained quite heavily the night before as though the cleansing process was necessary for both; the body and the atma. We arrived at the kodai gate at precisely 6 AM yesterday, Thursday, April 28 for the darshan at 8:30 AM. As the sun rose Thursday morning, we were led to the darshan area in an elderly and disciplined manner. I would estimate the devotees to be around 300. We waited till about 9 AM when all eyes were afixed in the "darshan" of the Lord, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Swami did not disappoint his devotees and we could see the brilliant Orange Robe emerging from his abode. He looked radiant and smiled as though the Lord was in bliss and "free" from pain. He was accompanied by a student for a few steps and then asked to be left alone as he walked to the Varandah on his own and waived to his devotees. Ofcourse the darshan was accompanied by the melodious voice of students singing Bhajans. The Bhajans were sung for the duration of the darshan. Swami then got into his car and then started from the ladies side (ladies first) and stoped for brief chats with devotees. He was obviously pleased with a lady when he spoke with her in approval by shaking his head and then came the famous circular motion on the creation of diamond studded chain. We understood that this lady does a great deal of seva. He then proceeded onto the men's side as a VIP Doctor from Madhurai had asked me to sit with him from where the view was just superb as we could abserve not only Swami but his interactions with his devotees. It appeared as though that he looked at every bhakta that had come to see him. Subsequent to going round, he then went onto the Varandah where everybody could see him. He then instructed the volunteer to call all "Bal Vikas students" to be gathered and brought to him. He then personallly have them a packet of sweets each as the lucky youngsters all appeared in Bliss. Next came aarathi and the Darshan was over. Everyone set where they were as Bhagawan blessed the Parshand for distribution to the devotees and then went back to his room. Luckily, I was given an extra parshad to take home for devotees in Canada. We did not wish to leave but 10 minutes after we all had to go.
