Guest guest
I am looking for an answer. I hope someone will be able to help me. When Lord Krishna eats mud and the Balarama complains to Yasoda, she asks Him to open His mouth. On opening His mouth she sees the 14 worlds. What do these 14 worlds mean and what are they? Looking forward to an early reply. Regards, Sandhya
Guest guest
Sai Ram Sister, Trust that with Swami's Grace and Love You are well! We recently read in one of Swami's Discourses given in the book Man Management that: The Three Worlds are the Gross (Physical - Bhur), the Subtle (Bhuva) and the Causal (Swaha), These three are all contained within each and every Human Being. The Physical is made of 24 Worlds or aspects (Tatwas/Principles) - 5 Jnanendriyas (organs of perception), 5 Karmendriyas (organs of action), 5 Pranas (Vital Breaths/Airs), 5 Kosas (5 Sheaths) and then the Manas (mind), Buddhi (intellect), Chitta (Consciousness) and Ahamkara (Ego) - These 4 (Chitta, Manas, Buddhi and Ahamkara are referred to as the Anthakaarana or Internal Senses or Chatushtayam). The Subtle is made of 14 Worlds or aspects (Tatwas/principles) - 5 Jnanendriyas (organs of perception), 5 Pranas (Vital Breaths/Airs), Manas (mind), Buddhi (intellect), Chitta (Consciousness) and Ahamkara (Ego) - This would probably be equivalent to the 14 Worlds that Mother Yasoda saw in the Mouth of Lord Krishna. The Causal is made of 2 Worlds or Aspects (Tatwas/principles) - The Chitta (Consciousness) and the Manas (Mind) Then Finally there is the Super-Causal Entity which has no Aspects or Tatwas - This is the Mahakaarana or Atmic Core (Atman) which is freed when the coils (Kosas) are shed. So the 14 Worlds, although in a Cosmic sense may be seen as planetary bodies of Gigantic size, they are in fact, representative of these Tatwas or Aspects and Principles outlined above. The fact that Mother Yasoda saw the 14 Worlds in the Mouth of the Lord is proof that He had these aspects of existence at His disposal and had full Power over All of them. This Story emphasises the representation of Macrocosmic Reality in terms of the Microcosm of The Human Experience.
