I silently waited that anybody would enlighten more properly the

inauspucious Rahu Kalam. As there no additional explanations, I to try to add

some significant details to this discussion.

The Rahu Kalam time is not connected with sunspots. Swami has never

mentioned it. He has indicated that at that time some harmful irradiation comes

from the Sun (more properly from cosmic room where the Earth with the Moon is

rotating and illuminating by the Sun. No Sun's illumination, no the Rahu

Kalam).

 

By ancient saints Vedic astrology is as a subtle language of 'God' and

hence should be heard with open ears in human's interest. It is believed that

those who come face to face with the power of Vedic astrology are indeed

destined for new beginings. By Vedic astrology 'human's destiny' is

pre-written. Wisdom, fore-knowledge and actions influence it. It has been

believed from the Vedic times and has been observed even presently that there

are certain times of the day called Rahu Kalam, which is believed to be an

ill-omened time period of the day. During this time frame one should avoid any

auspicious action such as investments, business transactions, asset purchases,

journeys, relationships, meetings and medical treatments.

The Rahu Kalam is one-eighth part of the difference between the Sun set and

Sun rise time of a particular place for specific day of a week. The Rahu Kalam

time period and its order vary from day to day from place to place. Changing

every day it is based on sunrise and sunset. At one's place the Rahu Kalam

available on one's calendar and panchang is based on the assumption that

sunrise is at 6 AM and sunset is 6 PM. However, sunrise and sunset changing

every day. This variation may cause changes in the Rahu Kalam even more than an

hour. The time of the Rahu Kalam for the days of week what has given in

different mails to 'saibabanews' is by uniform sunrise time as 6:00 AM and

sunset as 6:00 PM. The Rahu Kalam will be of hour and a half duration for every

day as was mentioned in previous mails.

The Rahu is not the actual planet but is an imaginary planet. The Rahu is a

node that is positioned where the Earth's trajectory around the Sun and the

Moon's trajectory around the Earth meet. According to Indian mythology, the

Rahu represents the head of a demon. It is responsible for Solar eclipse. When

the Rahu, the Sun and the Moon are in the same zodiacal longitude Solar eclipse

takes place.

By Vedic astrology the Rahu is a 'shudra graha', hence people influenced by

the Rahu behave like illiterate and uncultured people. It rules over thieves,

witches, magicians, venom and poison, snakes and thorny bushes, jails and

isolated places, unhabitated places, cemeteries, hypnotists etc.

The Rahu is not observable. It is as a shadow planet. Vedic astrology

indicates that greater significance has been attached to the role of the Rahu

in influencing human affairs in various dimensions, especially in Kaliyuga.

By the other aspect, according to the Puranas, the Rahu being in imaginable

connection with the certain planets of Solar System, is instrumental in

strengthening one's power and converting even an enemy into a friend. The Rahu

(not the Rahu Kalam) is therefore called as the 'planet' of Success. The Rahu

doesn't rule any zodiac, it is not a real planet.
