Guest guest
Sai Ram The Hindu, Section Andhra Pradesh - Others, 20 April, 2005 published the article by their Staff Reporter "Manjeera leaves water scheme dry." This article (reproduced on the end of contribution) is a sad example of today’s consumer technology what has damaged the exploitation a part from Swami's Water Project. Let's pray to Swami that the rude mistake will be improved soon. We usually say that what happens is the Divine Will. Here, it seems, as vice versa - the ignorance of the Divine Will. Here as 'works' human's will to receive more money. The Divine Will is covered under the managers wish to cash in on. Maybe this article is the Divine Will's pinpointer what helps to solve the problem by the help of media. Swami warns people through His teaching against different disorders, errors, disasters and lapses what caused by incomplete science and technology serving human's wickedness and ill desires. "Crores of rupees are spent on 'research' in this country. When one examines the value of theresult achieved, it has to be judged as a big waste. Those engaged in research must try to giveback to the country the sum spent multiplied a thousand fold. Or else, it would be tantamount totreason." (Sathya Sai Speaks. Vol.18. Chapter 19). "The astonishing, progress of science and technology has not brought with it corresponding powers of discrimination and wisdom. Man must realise that the sense organs, through which he explores the external and discovers the powers latent in Nature and the physical universe, function because of the Divinity which is immanent with them. Without the power of Divine, the eyes cannot see or the ears hear or the mind think." (Sathya Sai Speaks. Vol. 17. Chapter 11). "Man's misadventures have created several problems for the entire mankind. He has polluted the five elements causing havoc on the earth. There is pollution everywhere - in air, water, food and so on. His misdeeds coupled with his evil thoughts and feelings have degraded human life on the earth. If man acts in the righteous way, there will be no pollution at all. The water level under the surface of the earth is depleting because noble virtues like love and compassion have dried up in human heart. The five elements are sore with the offensive conduct of man." (Excerpts from the Divine Discourse Sathya Sai Baba "Divine Origin of Five Elements." 15 May 2000 PM, Brindavan). "Manjeera leaves water scheme dry, " by Staff Reporter, The Hindu, 20 April, 2005 Incessant illegal pumping of water from Manjeera river has left the Satya Sai drinking water scheme high and dry. The scheme, envisaging provision of drinking water to 37 villages in three mandals of Medak district, was built with financial assistance from the Satya Sai trust in 1989. Withstanding four consecutive years of drought the scheme successfully met the needs of 28 villages in Hutnur, two villages in Narsapur, one in Koudipally and six in Sangaredy mandals till recently. The pump house on the banks of Manjeera at Kulbagur village has the capacity to pump 0.02 TMC per annum. With water levels depleting Rural Water Scheme engineers have installed pumps in the riverbed to draw water. At present there is only one foot of water left in the river and the water supply to all the 37 villages has come to a grinding halt. The storage pumps have no water in them and villagers are now forced to trek long distances to get drinking water. Ashok, deputy executive engineer of the RWS, who has visited the pumping site at Kulbagur on Tuesday told 'The Hindu' that the only way out of this predicament was to release more water into the channel from the Manjeera project. But the demand for water in the twin cities is such that even seepage water from the project has been pumped back. A thorough check on the riverbanks revealed that the two major industries (Charminar Beverages and Ganapathi Sugars) laid multiple pipelines of greater diameter than that approved by the Pulkal panchayat, much ahead of the Satya Sai project. Generators were installed and bores dug right in the middle of the channel enabling pumping of water 24 hours a day. Gopal Reddy the head of Kulbagur village demanded that priority should be given to drinking water over the needs of industries.
