Om Sri Sai Ram.Swamiji has said that His students and devotees should not be

outside at certain times because of the influence of Rahul kaal. Could someone

please tell me what these timings are?

With love,

Dear Brother Sase

Sai Ram

Swami had given a formula to work out Rahukalam to students. I am giving below

the same with the methodology to work it out any day.

Rahu Kalam

During Rahukalam Poisonous gases emanate from the Sun and it is very harmful and

dangerous to undertake any new activity because the time is not conducive to

undertake any new work.

Rahukalam is of 1 ½ hours duration in each day

Rahukalam is only during the day time and NOT IN THE NIGHTS.

Swami has given a beautiful formula although my explanation below is very

lengthy, you would appreciate that once you understand the logic finding

Rahukalam any day is very easy.

Swami told us to remember the formula which is as follows:

Eleven Boys Have A Good Football Club

Eleven stands for Monday

Boys stands for Tuesday

Have stands for Wednesday

A stands for Thursday

Good stands for Friday

Football stands for Saturday

Club stands for Sunday

Let us Examine for Monday

The Rahukalam on Monday is from 7.30 A.M to 9.00 A.M.

How can we get it from the above formula of

ELEVEN BOYS HAVE A GOOD FOOTBALL CLUB

As mentioned above, the word ELEVEN stands for MONDAY

The letter E is the 5th letter of the Alphabets

So Take 5

Half of 5 is 2 ½

So 5 + 2 ½ = 7 ½ or 7.30 A.M

So tha Rahukal on Monday is 7.30 to 9.00 A.M

Rahukalam is always of ½ hour duration

Lastly let us see for Sunday

As mentioned above, the word CLUB stands for SUNDAY

The letter C is the 3rd letter of the Alphabets

So Take 3

Half of 3 is 1 ½

So 3 + 1 ½ = 4 ½ or 4.30 P.M.

So tha Rahukal on Sunday is 4.30 P.M to 6.00 A.M

Rahukalam is always of ½ hour duration

Week From To

Mon - 7.30 A.M. to 9.00 A.M

Tue - 3.00 P.M to 4.30 P.M

Wed - 12.00 P.M. to 1.30 P.M

Thu - 1.30 P.M to 3.00 P.M

Fri - 10.30 P.M to 12.00 P.M

Sat - 9.00 P.M to 10.30 P.M

Sun - 4.30 P.M to 6.00 P.M

Regards

Re: [saibabanews] Rahul kaal

Sairam Sase brother

Rahukalam as per Swami's DIVYA SARATHI 2005 diary :

Sun : 1630 hrs to 1800 hrs

Mon : 0730 hrs to 0900 hrs

Tue : 1500 hrs to 1630 hrs

Wed : 1200 hrs to 1330 hrs

Thu : 1330 hrs to 1500 hrs

Fri : 1030 hrs to 1200 hrs

Sat : 0900 hrs to 1030 hrs

Above time is normally considered as inauspicious. However feel,

when Swami is with us, every second is auspicious though Swami has

spoken about Rahukalam.

Sai Ram, Brothers and Sisters

If I am not wrong, Swami has said that this has to do with sunspots and

their effect on people. So, can somebody please tell me if these times

apply to India, or everywhere? Are we supposed to calculate what time

this applies in other parts of the globe?

Thank you for your answer.

Dear Brother Anantha Vijaja

This refers to the easy way of remembering Rahu Kalam.

A method right now that is being followed is as belows:

MOTHER SAW FATHER WEARING THE TURBAN SUNDAYMo: Monday 7.30am - 9.00am

Sa: Sat: 9.00am- 10.30am

Fa: Friday: 10.30am-12.00pm

We: Werdnesday: 12.00pm-1.30pm

Th: Thursday: 1.30pm-3.00pm

Tu: Tue: 3.00-4.30pm

Sun: Sunday: 4.30pm-6.00pm

If u memorise the above sentence the first two letters form the day and time

works out in a clockwise and has been the easiest method.

The message below is what devotees doubt when they go back to their countries or

let me say out of Prasanthi to their homes.

Bhagwan has often said that Prasanthi should not be limited to where Baba is but

we all should endeavour to make Prasanthi wherever we are ~ anywhere on the

earth.

Time is governed by SUN, so RAHU KAALA operates wherever the SUN shines, let

there be no doubt about it.

What happens in Raahu Kaala - the RAAHU has been given the power to swallow the

goodness of any work that is commenced in that period of the day. So be very

watchful of what you are doing - anything new should not be started during the

Raahu Kaala period.

And please dear devotees - abide by this for your own happiness and joy.

RE: [saibabanews] Re: Rahul kaal

Dear Brother Jatindar,

The explanation you had given may not perfectly understood with

respect to sun ,earth and sunspot. Because the earth is round and

poisonous gas may comes out every time nonstop from the sun and

sometime may not. This is the shadow which is created by moon

against a particular day and particular time with relative position

between earth, sun and moon which is not though visible to the

people of earth but not auspicious for doing any good work.

This is crescent of moon and its expansion and contraction (Rahu and

Ketu) syndrome during whole month and every day with a particular

time of day with relative position between earth and moon. May be

you can do some more research with Baba's literatures put some

illustrations.

Sairam,

Re: [saibabanews] Re: Rahul kaal - Topographical error

Dear brother Anantha,

Om Sri Sai Ram.You had said that Rahul Kaal lasts 1 and1/2 hours and

that its effect is felt only during the day so it was clear that if

you go by these rules then the rest were just slips of the finger on

your keyboard.

Personally,I prefer the method you gave as it is in a logical day-to-

day sequence and I love math. However, other devotees have to make

their own choice.....free will?

Your Sai brother,

Sase.
