MatrixView installs cardiac machine in Satya Sai Inst.

CHENNAI: Technology developer MatrixView Ltd today said its patent-pending

'Echoview' technology, used for capture of echocardiograms and ultrasound

images of the heart, has been successfully implemented at the Sathya Sai

Institute of Higher Medical Sci ence, Bangalore. "The successful implementation

of Echoview at Sathya Sai Institute signifies the start of commercial deployment

of the technology to hospitals and licensing opportunities to ultrasound

equipment vendors in India," said Mr Ravi Govindan, executive chairma n and

managing director, MatrixView. He said the Echoview solution would save

significant cost and time for both doctors and patients. "Echoview converts

analog echocardiogram signals into digitised data, which can be stored in the

hospital's centralised server or into any generic storage mediums such as hard

disk drivers, DVD jukeboxes or tape drives," Mr Govindan said in a release her

e. "Quality of the images is good and the system significantly reduces the huge

space required to store images," said Dr A N Safaya, a director at the Sathya

Sai hospital. - PTI
