Siva Siva Siva Siva yanaraadhaa jeevaa

chinthalella baapukoni manaraadhaa

Siva saayeesuni kanaraadhaa jeevaa

suvivekambunu konaraadhaa

 

Oh man! Why don't you chant the Name of Siva?

Why don't you get rid of all your sorrows?

Oh man! Why don't you behold Lord Siva Sai?

Why don't you act a little wiser?

 

Sivamethi jagamantha thirigevu

O chithamaa neekintha siggu ledhe

Avani sukhambula kallaadedu

neeku avaliki migiledhi adhi yedhi?

 

Oh mind, you wander all over the world without any discriminatation,

Aren't you ashamed at all?

For you who crave for worldly pleasures,

What would remain at the end?

 

Panimaali cinemaalu palumaaru

meeru chani chani kaninanu thanavi ledhe

kshanamunu dhaiva sannidhilo nilpaga

kanulaaraa meekadhi kashtamate

 

You go and watch movies umpteen times

Yet you are not satiated!

But to concentrate on the Lord's Form for a moment,

Oh eyes, is it so diffucult for you?

 

Avineethi rotha maatalandharitho

neevanutaku gouravamayyenugaa

navaneetha choruni naamamu palkuta

(Neeku) naalkaa avamaanambagunaa

 

While you talk immoral matters with everyone,

You feel so decent and respectful!

But to utter the Name of "Navaneethachora",

Oh tongue, is it an insult for you?

 

Podhuboka oorivaari sudhulante

meeru sidhamoudhure kadu sraddha thoda

Mudhu mudhu gaanu Sai muchatalu cheppunapudu

odhikaga undarela O chevulaaraa

 

You get ready with such an enthusiasm

to listen to the gossip about your neighbours.

But when someone recounts the sweet pastimes of Sai,

Oh ears, why don't you stay in composure?

 

Panileni sunakambu vale meeru

parugidi vagarinchi thirigeru

kshanamunu satsangathilo nilpaga

(Meeku) saadhyamu gaadhaa charanamulaa

 

Like the idle street dogs,

You keep wandering here and there,

But to stay for a while in the company of noble people,

Oh feet, is it impossible for you?

 

Ichavachu cheddapanulanni seya

Aaa eeswarundu mimmu srujiyinchinaadaa

thechukoni chethulaaraa thelvi inkanainaa

(Meeru) chache dhaaka hari bhajana seyaraare

 

Is it for acting according to your whims and fancies,

that the Lord has created you?

Oh hands, gather your wits atleast now,

And do the bhajan of Hari till you perish!

 

Paatalu paadina phalamemi

manchi maatalu nerchina mahimemi

sootiga pedhala baatanu poyina

(Jeevaa) sukhamanu mootalu dhorukunugaa

 

What's the use of singing songs?

What wonder is it to learn speaking nice words?

Tread the path shown by great people,

Oh man, you are sure to find the treasure of bliss!

 

Suluvuga dhorikina Sundara Saayini

(Jeevaa) chulakana cheyaga choothuvugaa

palu bommalake padi padi mrokkina

(Neevu) bhaya bhakthulatho brathukudhuvaa?

 

Oh man! you tend to ignore

this charming Sai, whom you could obtain so easily!

But you live in fear and respect

prostrating before those stones and lifeless idols!!

 

My delights:

 

My delight in this song is every line, every word. In today's world,

it is only in Swami, Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, that I see a

perfect example, an embodiment without a minute trace of hypocrisy. He

is the example, the model, the inspiration. His Life is His Message.

Every word of His is pure. Every deed of His is noble.

 

I pray to Him to give us strength to follow in His Footsteps and not

in the ways the Maya mind dictates to us.
