Guest guest
I would like to share my very special miracle with all of you. I have been a Sai devotee for some years now. A couple of years ago I had this yearning to obtain the Holy Padhugas but did not have a clue as how I could get a pair. After a lot of research I managed to get the contact of the Padhuga Trust in Madurai. In 2004 I wrote to them with a request for the Holy Padhugas. They wrote back to say that I could get a pair from them in Madurai or at the Sri Sai Padhuga Mahavotsavan function to be held in Oct. 2004 at Prashanti subject to Swami's confirmation, or have someone to represent me and collect them from there. As I did not know of anyone going there during that month nor was I able to go there, I was disappointed. Of course, the Holy Padhugas cannot be sent by courier which added to my total disheartedness. But the point here is that I did not give up. I felt Swami was testing my patience and my perseverance all the time and I had to go on. Late last year I received an -email from S.Africa that the Trustees of the Padhuga Trust were there having installed the Holy Padhugas at an Ashram. That was my clue. I wrote at once to one of the devotees and he promised to check out for me if there was a pair for me. I was prepared to fly down (from Kenya) or have my son, who is a pilot and flies often to S.Africa, to collect them for me. This went on for a few months but did not get anything positive. I am sure the person in S.Africa was doing his best but was unable to confirm anything for me. But I did not lose heart as I knew that Swami was going to come home to me. Early this year I went to London to visit my ailing mother. A couple who used to live here but have now migrated there, called me and requested that I take some things for their daughter who lives here in Kenya. I agreed to bring them with me. I brought the things and called up their daughter who came to collect them from my house on a Sunday. I did not know that she was a Sai devotee but when we started talking about Swami, we simply could not stop. I took her to my Prayer Room where I have a marble Idol of Shirdi Sai and lot of photos of Swami. She was so touched and then she told me something which changed everything for me. Her aunt who is an ardent Sai devotee had in the past attended at least three Padhuga Mahavatsavan functions and had the Padhugas blessed by Swami personally. Her aunt had given her two pairs of same. Out of the two she had given one pair to a relative and now she wanted me to have the 'Golden' pair. At that particular moment the world stopped moving for me. I could not believe that all along I have tried to obtain the Holy Padhugas from wherever I thought possible and here is somebody who has a pair and is willing to give them to me. Let me assure you that I did not have a clue that she had them nor did I ask her for them. Swami sent her to me and made sure that I got the Holy Padhugas. How Blessed am I!? So we agreed that she could bring them home the following Saturday and she asked me to remind her on Friday. Naturally, the whole week I was so happy and on Friday reminded her but she told me that she could not come as her husband was not well. That was it. I was again disheartened and promised that I will not call or ask her again. Then after a lapse of one week she called me on Friday the 4th of March, 2005, and said that she was coming home at 5.10 p.m. with the Holy Padhugas. This was in the morning and the whole day seemed to drag. At 5.10 she did not appear and I was now a nervous wreck but knew that Swami will come. At last the Holy Padhugas came at 6.45 p.m. They are now installed in my Prayer Room and I simply cannot believe it. I feel that Swami was testing my patience and I hope that I deserve the Holy Padhugas. I keep going to check if They are still there. I consider myself very lucky.
