Re: [saibabanews] A new member with a question.

Dear Amit: The saying that I use and remember from Baba is, "why

fear when I am here"; This is important for you, he is always with

us in our heart and is always helping us. As for bad thoughts

returning to hurt you; When you changed and allowed yourself to

feel appreciation and compassion for yourself you took away the

negative thoughts. The negative cannot survive when we live in the

love of Sai. Joe

Sairam Amit! You are as old as one of my nephews and I do feel for

you.You seemed to be an intelligent young man.Just ask swami for

forgivness for what ever wrong you have done.He is all

compassionate, loving and kind.We all do and say things sometimes

that we regret.Just pray to god and try not to make the same mistake

twice.Gyaatri mantra is very powerful, maybe you should chant this

everyday and at every time of day.It will bring you lots of peace.Do

have your thoughts on swami when doing this.Remember that you are

also divine.Swami always says that he residies in us.Look for him

inside.Find a few minutes in the day to be very quite and you will

hear him speaking to you through your conscience.Take care my dear

brother Amit.

with lots of

Sai's love

Om Sri Sai Ram

Dear Amit,

I would just like to share a part of Sai's Discourse which helped me

understand why we get bad thoughts or get angry etc. I believe the

process of spirituality the bad residing in us due to circumstances

or Karma etc comes to the surface only for us to know that it exists

in us and we have to work on it. Hope this helps. Be happy and God

bless

With love in Sai Service

"You can make God appear before you when you have unwavering faith

and devotion coupled with a steady and pure heart. Here is an

example. You curdle the milk and extract butter out of it, and then

heat it to get ghee. If there is water content in the butter, it

will emit some unpleasant smell as you heat it. The smell will

gradually diminish as you continue to heat it. So long as there is

water in the butter, you cannot escape from the unpleasant smell. The

water has to completely evaporate. Butter represents the individual

nature. The evil tendencies in you can be compared to unpleasant

smell. When you make efforts to melt `butter' completely,

the `unpleasant smell' will gradually subside. When man performs

sadhana the disagreeable smell of evil propensities emanate from him

during the process. He should continue with his sadhana and overcome

those evil tendencies. As he performs sadhana more and more, all

evil tendencies in him will evaporate like water. Ultimately, his

sadhana will yield the desired result just like pure ghee is

obtained on heating butter."

Re:A new member with a question.

Hi Amit,

When life gets you down and death seems preferable, remember why we

are here. Baba says the life is the greatest blessing. That we are

here to to realize our "divinity". He says that it is only through

human birth that we can know God. He didn't say it would be an easy

experience but the reward is great. The loss of a job is nothing

compared to the loss of the opportunity to know God.

Baba also tells us that everything that happens to us is for our

greater good. So, always ask, what is this experience trying to

show me about myself?

Just Joyfully Participating,

Bob

Re: [saibabanews] A new member with a question.

Sai Amit,

For a moment think clearly the purpose of GOD. Swami all the time

riterates that GOD IS LOVE; LIVE IN LOVE. He is the father of the

son who said "Forgive them Father, For they do not know what they

are doing". If his son is so loving, He who created this Human Body

is embodiment of love. Why Fear, When I am Near says Baba, so we

sing. Bring that into life application and live in his love. I think

the whole Yuga is filled with self motivated Negative people, if GOD

is not so loving, the world would be washed out.

Fear of mind is only a mind game and does not reflect faith in

Swami. If you have 100% faith in Bhagawan, leave everything to him.

It is his duty to take care of you. But you self audit and reflect

to see that you are following his teachings to the core of your

being in your life, every moment and in every thought, word and

action!!!

You are his reflection. Have that faith. You are protected for using

your life in Swami's teachings. Do not worry.

Sai Ram Dear Amit,

Swamy said in one of his discourse

that "past is past" and "future is not sure", so "live

in present". Do not worry about your past deeds either

or worry about whats going to happen in future.

We all have done bad things in the past and may be

doing even now. No one is perfect. Knowing that we

have done/doing is still good. I find similarities

with you in me too. We feel dejected and lose faith

when things dont go in the direction of our

expectations.

We cannot escape from our past karma. We all need

Sraddha and Saburi. faith and forbearance. Only thing

we can do is to pray Sai Maa to bless us with Faith

(whatever happens is for our good) and Patience. These

two will help us cross the ocean of samsara.

Just live in present. Have faith in you and in Swamy.

Always remember Swamy's saying "Why Fear, When I am

here". If you can, practice meditation.

god bless u

with love your sai sister

Dear Sai Brothers

If i m not wrong Swamy said:

"Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is a mystery, to-day is a gift and that is why it is called Present"

Swamy's sayings have a depth and it is lways practical.

Let us not anytime think of future n go mad act now and face the present n leave

the future to Bhagwan but at the same time, v need to work n do our dutyn leave

the result to destiny.

color:navy;mso-no-proof:yes">Dear Brother,

color:navy">Our Sai family has already shared their wonderful wisdom with you. I

was at your age just a few years back and I completely understand the phase you

are going through. This is the time when you are moving from a carefree student

life to the “real” world. Any change in the external environment

does tend to cause some internal conflicts and changes, but don’t worry

about these. Everything in this world (except God and Love) is temporary,

including human feelings. I am

reminded of a wonderful spiritual lesson given by a great saint. He said:

“When you are washing a vessel, the more water you pour, the more dirt

will surface on top. This does not mean the pot is dirty, it just means that

you are washing it effectively and in a short period of time, you will only see

clear water and a clean, shiny vessel.” When we are on the path to Swami,

He is constantly pouring clean water on our hearts. The more water He pours and

the more sadhana

we perform, the more dirt will surface and get released. Just hold tight to Him

and continue doing your sadhana;

with every wash, more and more of our negativity will be cleansed and we will shine in

brilliance of the atma again.

color:navy">Please don’t ever let negative feelings of giving-up in life

harbor your mind. Life is very precious and if you are disinterested in living

for yourself, start living for others and perform selfless service. The joy

arising from such selfless service will not only draw you closer to Swami but

will also benefit all you serve, while simultaneously giving you bliss.

Today’s society needs young individuals like us. Our

elders have already built a wonderful world for us and it is our duty to serve

them and improve on what they have already done so far.

color:navy">Remember, the earth is a school and we are here to learn. The

process is slow but we are gradually improving even without realizing it. The

changes are internal and only Swami knows about them.

negative feelings you are experiencing will soon

disappear with Swami’s grace.

way to a wonderful tomorrow.

sairam to all brothers and sisters of the saibabanews group:

I was drawn into the fold of our beloved Sai Ma only a year back and since then

I think of Him and keep chanting His name in sleep and while awake too. But

dear brothers and sisters, I still feel that Ma Sai has not taken me closer to

Him......I still have a feeling of "not belonging yet" to our beloved Ma. I

got the opportunity, due to Divine Grace, to go to Puttaparthi 3 times since

last year [feb 2004] and I also got good Dharshan of our Lord. When I got His

dharshan, tears rolled down my eyes.....but deep in my heart, I still feel

something lacking in me, and feel thats why My Beloved Sai Ma has not Graced me

with His fullest blessings.....Dear brothers and sisters, please pray for

me.....I want to enjoy that feeling of being owned by my Ma and that I belong

to Him.

please pray for me.

Sai Ram.

Every person has had they share with problems and has made mistakes

in the past. We should learn form it, and better ourselves.

No matter how big or small the problem is, it happens for a reason. I

have been through a lot as well, and through the past I have leant

some things, and that is to surrender, have faith in Swami and

yourself.

Having faith in your self is having faith in God. Surrender to the

lord and he will guide you.

Don't let the past hold you back move forward.

RE: [saibabanews] Re: A new member with a question

Dear Nimish,

thank your for your wonderful words, you have indeed expressed

in words what also happend to me. Your words have helped me

to understand so many things. the "vessel who is washed and the dirt

on the surface" is such a beautiful example. When Swami enterend my

life and my mind was fixed on him everything went always wrong, at

home, at work and I thought that maybe that I was not good enough,

that Swami was kind of keeping me at distance. Every time I thought

intensly of Him, things went so wrong that there was a time when I

began to be afraid of Swami. This seems really silly.

Now the years have passed and I think at least SOME dirt has been

washed away. My longing for Him is so intense that I have cried many

times, whishing Him so very much to be with me, to see and touch Him

and to feel HIS Love within me. Things don't go wrong any more, some

times I really think He is testing me, I know He is.

So, again, thank you for expressing so precisely and helping me so

much to understand some part of my live. it seems like puzzle, and

today you have given me new part so that the pattern is more clearly.

With Sai Love and Gratitude.

How lucky we all are just to know the Baba. There are people in this world who

dont know of him, and will never know of him. Just that knowing is a blessing.

Baba has you close to him brother. By you chanting his name and having him on

your mind the whole day is far beyond what most people have. People are

striving to get to that stage of divinity. I too know for myself that its hard

to do; especially with being distracted with everyday life and society. So not

to worry brother, you are there and swami has always been there for you.

Through the love and service for others, brother, you will feel our Baba even

more. So stay strong, he is here with us all. Continue to have a blessed day.
