Guest guest Posted February 16, 2005 Report Share Posted February 16, 2005 I have not opted for VRS as my two daughters are still school going and the amount I will get if I take VRS is also very meagre. Today I have received my transfer order to Guwahati from Mumbai. As per the order I am getting relieved on February 25, 2005 and should report to duty there in Guwahati on March 7, 2005 WHERE WE DO NOT HAVE AN OFFICE EVEN AND WHOM TO REPORT TO DUTY? It is clear that the management is targetting us such that we may opt VRS even now with a back date fearing the transfer and some of our colleagues who are at the clerical level have now opted for VRS. Now it is the turn of officers. I am proposing to seek extension of my joining date. I do not know what will happen. Myself and my family for the past one month are undergoing lot of tension and we were spending sleepless nights. Are there any devotees in this forum who are from Guwahati. But all I can mention to you is, as Swami always teaches us pleasure is in between 2 pains and vice versa, it is a phase that one has to go through, if we believe in Swami's principles of Karma. Remember that God puts us in this illusioned world of pain and pleasure only to test our sincerity to our spiritual path and dedication to Him. I have been through a similar situation like yours (but in my situation, I lost my job almost every other year leading me to move from place to place). Swami does not give us pain or pleasure and it is our own actions (Karma) in the past (beyond this life's time frame).; However he provides us enough strength and courage to face the situation. Infact one should be happy that we get more pain since these are the opportunities to burn all our bad deeds from past lives and/or this life leading to a faster path to DIVINE. I am very confident that by surrendering our situation to him, the consequences will never go wrong. HE does not give us anything more than what we can handle. Hence dear brother, do not put your mind through worries of the situation and work towards maintaining your true nature (which is the divine bliss). You dont know, Swami might be putting u in test. You must come with flying colours in Swami's litmus test. Our Saikrishna is very nat-khat like Lord Krishna. You dont know his Leelas. In my opinion, cant u join some other organisation and then you can take VRS. In which case you may get some financial helps which can be useful for your future. Being a father of two daughters, I am unable to digest the attitude of our management in treating its employees like this for no fault of us. If only it were me and my wife, only, I would have opted for Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) and have gone to Parthi and settle happily there with what ever money I get from this VRS. I do not propose to change a job because Dhara Vegetable Oil & Foods Company Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board, a Statutory Body created by an act of Parliament at the instance of Late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastry, Former Prime Minister of India. That way I am working in a very great organisation. But the Management... I have to settle my daughters first of all then only I can settle in Prashanti Nilayam. Also, I realise one thing and I appeal to all brothers & sisters to kep it at the top of mind that Swami is going to be in this human body upto the age of 96 years only. Now this year he is going to celebrate his 80th birthday. So, unfortunately we will have Swami in his physical form for just another 16 years only. FORGIVE ME FOR REMINDING YOU THIS. BUT THIS IS THE TRUTH AS DECLARED BY SWAMI. Can we imagine life without Swami. At this point I remember Late Shri Howard Murphet Statement "HOW EMPTY WAS LIFE BEFORE WE KNEW THE LOVE OF OUR LORD". I remember also at this point what Shri Soumendra Bhattacharya, our brother and also a member of this forum has said which is as follows: Life with Sai is Endless Hope Life without Sai is Hopeless End. Till last year she was in CBSE. It is only this academic session, I shifted my family and now this transfer. I do not want to go to Guwahati which is far far away from Hyderabad. I propose to put Sai Priya in a boarding school in Hyderabad perhaps in Brilliant Grammer School. I got the application through some telugus. I have asked for relieving date extension by two months and hopefully it will be agreed. I spoke to our Head Office in this regard. In these two months I expect Swami to cancel my transfer to Guwahati and at the human level I will try to do what all I can do to avoid this transfer atleast to this place. In the mean time, I have contacted my alumni to get me the information of our ex students and Sai Samithis in Guwahati. As suggested by you, I have been praying sincerely and in fact my entire family including kids are praying. My posting to Guwahati is not a regular transfer but as I mentioned to you it was done because I have not opted for VRS. Same is the case with my other colleagues who have not opted for VRS i.e. transferring diagonally to an opposite place. As suggested by you, I am already on the job to find an alternate employment preferably as a faculty in MBA as I am an MSc (Stat) & MBA (Mktg).
