"Journey To Sai Within"

REGIONAL SATSANG WITH MAYA AND SUNDER IYER.

FEBRUARY 12, 2005 (Saturday)

AT KIDS R KIDS,

246 FLUOR DANIEL DRIVE, HOUSTON, TEXAS 77479

Dr. Sunder Iyer has a Ph.D in Banking and Finance. He joined Parthi

College in 1979 and was among the first batch of students to

graduate under the SSIHL banner. Swamy blessed him with a special

medal for Yoga during the first convocation in November 1982. He

was one of the fortunate ones among the first batch of students to

get Doctoral degree from the Divine hands. He has participated in

various dramas, sports meets and other extra curricular activities

in the Institute. Dr. Sunder Iyer spent a little over 15 years in

the Divine Presence, both as a student and as a lecturer in Swami's

institute.

Maya Iyer is indeed blessed to be born into a family, whose members

have been devotees of Swami for the past four decades, her

grandmother, Parvathi Mahadevan, residing in Whitefield for the past

forty years, has been one of the lead singers at Brindavan. She has

composed over 300 Bhajans, many of which are so popular that they

are sung even today. Maya's father, Captain Iyer, is a pilot, who

had the privilege of inaugurating the Sathya Sai Airport and the

extreme good fortune of flying Swami from Bangalore to Parthi

recently during His ailment. Her mother, Mangala, who is an

excellent singer, was a Bhajan coordinator at Sundaram, Chennai.

She has even sung in some of the Sundaram Bhajan Cassettes.
