The Spiritual Renaissance

On the 80th Advent of the Avatar Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the program on

"Sri Sathya Sai Namasmaran" left a deep impact on the thousands who gathered on

the cool evening of the 29th of January, 2005. This program was held at the

Andheri Sports Complex at 6.30 pm.

The program was graced by the Governor of Maharashtra, His Excellency. Shri S M

Krishna, Shri Jayant Patil - Minister for Finance Government of Maharashtra,

Shri Ashok Chavan - Industry Minister Government of Maharashtra, Ms Shailaja

Patil, Shri D Y Patil Vice Chancellor of D Y Patil Deemed University, Shri

Gokul a trust member, and The Little Master - Cricketer - Shri Sunil Gavaskar

- India's best ever opening batsman.

The program commenced with the blowing of the conch and introductory speeches by

Shri Ramesh Thakkar -Trust Convenor Maharashtra and Shri Ramesh Sawant - State

President Maharashtra.

Shri Nimish Pandya, District President of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation,

Mumbai, said that never in the history of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation,

Mumbai was such a program held. He added that this program is not a celebration

but " A Tribute " to the Divine Persona of Shri Sathya Sai Baba. Today's age is

the age when man and nature have drawn battlelines against each other. It is the

agitation between man and nature which needs to be calmed. Namasmarana, a simple

thing, can lead to peace pf mind, divinity and removes ashanti. It can lead to

peace and shanti. It is a privilege of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations of

Maharashtra and Goa to participate in this Namasmarana program. This program

will be taken to all cities and to all schools and colleges in Mumbai.

The Governor of Maharashtra, His Excellency Shri S M Krishna also addressed the

huge gathering along with Dr. Keki Mistry, Trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Trust.

The Governor of Maharashtra, His Excellency Shri S M Krishna said that because

of our good deeds in the previous births that we are enjoying the blessings of

Bhagavan Baba.

This program fell on the 85th birthday of Shri Indulal Shah and he was duly

felicitated and honoured. Shri Indulal Shah and Smt Sarlaben Shah were present

on stage and Dr. Keki Mistry , Trustee - Sri Sathya Sai Trust, Maharashtra,

read out the citation.

Sri Sathya Sai Organisation is the world's largest spiritual organisation

involved in seva (service) and spiritual upliftment. A number of 18 projects

are already been sanctioned by the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation,

Maharashtra, during the year like establishment of Sarva Dharma Stupa, Books

The Audios and CD Cassettes on Namasmarana were released by Shri Ashok Chavan

and Shri D Y Patil respectively. A book on Namasmarana was released by the

Governor's wife.

This was followed by a laser show and the entire stadium watched the

magnificence of the lights synchronising with the background of the audio

sound.

A visual show on Bhagavan and his mission were also shown. Fireworks in the open

skies were also added to the mystique of the night.

Shri Nimish Pandya also spoke about the Sri Sathya Sai Bal Vikas Program and

mentioned that what was unique about the program was that it is the children

who influence parents and lead them on the Sai path. Smt. Arushi Deepak Pandit

and Shri Deepak Pandit a model parent were called up on the stage and it was

heartening to know that Shri Deepak Pandit would be shooting a mega film on

spirituality called "Sai - The God Within".

In short the film will convey the universal value of love and it will depict the

three avatars - Shirdi Sai (Past), Sathya Sai (Present) and Prema Sai (Future)

with their power of love - the magical touch. The program is backed by a

dedicated team and a thorough research. The trend of the film will range from

the past to the contemporary. It will be shot on real locations, and the film

will not only try to be authentic but also have that earthen touch. The musical

score of the film signifying peace will have an universal appeal. "Sai- The God

Within" is worth the making and worth the wait

Scintillating music by Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma on his santoor, bhajans Begum

Parween Sultana, Suchri Sadhana Sargam, Suchri Richa Sharma, Smt Padmaja

Phenany-Joglekar, Shri Suresh Wadkar, Smt Kavita Krishnamurti and Shri Anup

Jalota left a very deep impact on the audience. The Sai bhajans sung by them

involved the huge gathering in the bhajan singing.

Each of the celebrities received a memento from the Sri Sathya Sai Seva

Organisation, Maharashta. They were also presented a Sai Gold Picture by Shri

Jatindar Shad who had come all the way from New Delhi on that day. (Details

Bhagavan Baba also sent Vibhuti Prasadam to the celebrities through Shri Indulal

Shah who had returned from Parthi on that day.

The program ended with the celebrities and Ministers who were called on the

stage for the finale - A Sarva Dharma Namasmarana recitation. The program

concluded with the vote of thanks by Shri Ramesh Thakkar - Trust Convenor

Maharashtra and the Aarti.
