Blood donation drive likely to meet target Jan 25:

KUALA LUMPUR: A blood donation drive by the Sri Sathya Sai Baba Organisation

outside the Batu Caves temple is likely to meet its target of raising 2,500

pints for the National Blood Bank.

Organising chairman Dr A. Ganesh said the non-stop event began at noon yesterday

and will be over at 6pm today.“By 8pm, we collected 200 pints of blood. Each

donor gave a pint,” he said, adding that they would have no problem meeting

their target.The campaign was manned by 30 staff of the National Blood Bank and

volunteers from the organisation. Regular donor G. Arivalagan said yesterday he

was donating blood for the 16th time.The 19-year-old hairstylist from Seremban

said he had been donating blood since he was 12.

Blood Donation.

I was on one of Sai Devotee at the centre.

We finally maanaged to collect 1283 pints of blood .It is for your info.

We could not meet the target cause the blood bank staffs said enough as its time

for them to close.
