THE INNER SIGNIFICANCE

The 80th Birthday of BHAGAWAN is indeed a unique landmark in the Divine Mission.

 

The true celebration can only be in the form of initiating projects which have a

long term deep impact of BHAGAWAN's message on the lives of man for several eons

of time.

 

It should stand the test of clarity and relevance to the millions of humankind

who probably will never have the opportunity to have the darshan of BHAGAWAN in

the physical form. In this background, the Sri Sathya Sai Trust and the

Organisation in Maharashtra proposes the following projects to be initiated and

completed 80th Birthday of BHAGAWAN.

MUSICAL EVENING ON 29™ JANUARY. 2005

A PROGRAMME TO CREATE AWARENESS OF THE NAMASMARAN MOVEMENT OF SWAMI AND ITS

IMPACT IN THE WORLD

Pandit Shivkumar has taken the initiative to hold this function to mark the

launch of the 80th Birthday Celebrations of Swami in Mumbai.

 

The theme of the programme is the inner significance of Namasmaran as a movement

propounded by Swami and its relevance in the modern context. At this program, it

is proposed to release a book on BHAGAWAN's Namasmaran movement with persona

experiences of leading musical artistes who have had the benefit of personal

interaction with BHAGAWAN. It is also proposed to initiate an open scheme for

research on the impact of spiritual and scientific effect of Namasmaran on the

amelioration of man.

SRI SATHYA SAI RURAL MEDICAL SUPER SPECIALITY NETWORK

 

Taking inspiration from the Divine example of Swami's Super Speciality Hospital,

the Organisation has always been motivated to duplicate this model at the State

Level.

 

This is one such project. The uniqueness is that it entails active seva from the

workers of the Organisation.

 

This projects aims at achieving the goal of providing Super Speciality treatment

of high quality, free of charge, to the needy, without the cost of putting up a

hospital structure for the same. This project entails the coming together of

Specialists Doctors who out of their own sense of service are willing to take

care of patients utilising their existing facilities.

 

The Trust would provide the logistical support including money for medicines and

material. The first such cardiac surged under this network has been already

performed.

SRI SATHYA SAI KAMPALA WATER PROJECT

 

Kampala, In Uganda, is the only place outside India that was visited by BHAWAWAN

in the year 1968. His letter to Professor V.K. Gokak speaks volumes of the

Vision of BHAGAWAN. This is the first project of its kind where Dharmakshetra

will export a seva project to Kampala. Dharmakshetra has resolved to set up 80

borewells to ease the water problem of the denizens of Kampala. This project

has been undertaken to commemorate the landmark visit of BHAGAWAN to Kampala.

 

DHARMAKSHETRA A PILGRIMAGE CENTER

It is Swami's mandate that Dharmakshetra is a TIRTH a Pilgrimage Centre. The

Trust is taking all steps to create a highly charged Zone in Dharmakshetra by

intense spiritual Sadhana by all the devotees of Maharashtra. It is resolved

that all devotees and active workers from the whole state of Maharashtra will

visit Sathya Deep and perform sadhana as per the guidelines, so that Sathya

Deep, which is already vibrant by the physical habitation by Swami in His

physical Form can continue to grant succour to every human being who visits

Dharmakshetra.

UNIQUE INITIATIVE BY THE SRI SATHYAl SAI INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURE AND BIOTECHNOLOGY

 

This Is a unique institution catering to the village youth by training them in

the art of biotechnology and agriculture simultaneously with training in

medicare and educare.

 

This is totally free of charge and aims at making the village youth "T^self

sufficient and expert in the field of agriculture by using the latest

biotechnological methods. It grooms the village youth in the spirituality and

self reliant medical growth of medicinal plants to deal with ailments at the

village level.

 

Currently, 4 districts are covered in the Institute and it is proposed to hasten

the coverage of other Districts after the formal launch. It is proposed to

create a Co-operative Society of the village youth who have been trained from

the district of Jalgaon so that, the produce from the farms, based on the

training given by the Institute, can be channelised through the Co-operative

movement for the financial benefit of the students

SRI SATHYA SAI MONUMENT PROJECT IN MUMBAI.

 

 

The city of Mumbai is in fact the gateway to India for the world.

 

Events in this city get noted by the world. It was therefore suggested that a

monument symbolising the Universal Message of Swami be established. It is

proposed that a Sarva Dharma Stupa or a Human Values Stupa be established at

Nariman Point, jutting in the sea .

 

This is akin to the Statue of Liberty in the USA. It is proposed to lay the

foundation stone of such a monument during the course of the coming year .

SRI SATHYA SAI GRAM SEVA KENDRA IN EVERY DISTRICT OF MAHARASHTRA

 

Considering Swarm's love for the rural poor and also recognising the need in the

rural areas for good education health measures and basic necessities, the

Organisation and the Trust have commenced on establishing Sai Centres in every

district of the State so that they can act as centres for education and medical

help, vocational training spiritual training etc. 5 such centres out of 22 are

already nearing completion.

PAPER ON THE IMPACT OF SRI SATHYA SAI BAL VIKAS MOVEMENT IN THE COUNTRY AND FAMILY TRANSFORMATION

 

It is indicated that the Bal Vikas movement of Swami has had an immense impact

on the moulding of the children and their value systems. It is also indicated

that the movement has a very astonishing ^P^^^^^ family transformation which

can strengthen the society. Currently, data is in the process of collection and

the final data will definitely bear testimony to the immense Divine insight of

Swami and His Divine Game Plan of Transformation.

WATER PROJECT IN THE ADIVASI DISTRICT ON THE FOOTHILLS OF MATHERAN IN MAHARASHTRA

 

This water project is being implemented by the youth of Maharashtra for the

benefit of Adivasis who are in difficulty for want of water. The effort is

unique in the sense that the Sai youth H and the villagers are jointly

motivated by the love of BHAFAWAN and work together as one family in this

project.

A SEMINAR OF HEADS OF ALL FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS

"SOCIAL SERVICE AND THE MONETARY POLICY"

 

This seminar will be the background for showcasing the panorama of Sai Service

in India, i.e. the entire body of work done by the Organisation in India under

the Divine Guidance of BHAGAWAN Sri Sathya Sai Baba. This is a great tribute to

Baba who has single handedly motivated millions to plunge into service without

any expectation of any return. A pure saga of Love in Action.

SRI SATHYA SAI AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE IN HUMANISING MEDICARE

This scheme is to perpetuate the Message of Swami of Humanising medicare by

encouraging action and practice on the part of medical students and Doctors and

Hospitals.

MOTHER SAI CARE HOME IN ]ALGAON

 

This centre shall be established in the district of Jalgaon in the year, 2005,

for the destitute children of Jalgaon. It will serve as a milestone to spread

Swami's Love and will also serve as a Sai Centre in the area by addressing the

children's requirements of residence, education and nourishment.

SRI SATHYA SAI ANNAPOORNA SCHEME

 

The Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Scheme was established as a service activity.

Under the scheme, mass - scale Narayan Seva was undertaken and food distributed

to the under - privileged members of society. It has been proposed to extend

this activity to the backward areas of Vidarbha region (districts of

Ghadchiroli and Amravati). These areas are proclaimed as disaster areas by the

government where malnutrition deaths have taken a heavy toll.

SRI SATHYA SAI MADHYAMIK AND PRARTHAMIC VIDYALAYA

 

On persistent and widespread requests, as a part of the 80th Birthday programme

of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the Sri Sathya Sai Madhyamic and Prarthamic

Vidyalaya in Dharmakshetra are raising their strength by adding one more

section to each class. This necessitates raising additional floor to the school

building and improvised facilities being provided for the students.

MOTHER EASWARAMMA FOUNDATION

 

 

One of the significant programmes of the Mother Easwaramma Foundation Is the

Mother Easwaramma Scholarship for the Girl Students. The girl child in India is

often the most neglected member of the family. In many families, which are below

the poverty line, the girl child is required to drop out of school and become an

earning member well before she attains the age of majority. To encourage

deserving girl children to pursue their academic ambitions and goals, the

Mother Easwaramma Scholarship was instituted in the year 2000.

 

Distinct parameters are laid down, on the fulfilment of which, the scholarship

is awarded, under this programme. For instance, the student must have an

aggregate of at least 60% in the examination passed in the earlier academic

year. The Convenors of the concerned Samithis should do a follow up on the

student's academic performance, throughout the year through the concerned

gurus. The annual income of the parents of the student should not exceed Rs.

72,000/- p.a. The child's attendance in Balvikas classes should be at least 80%

and should be a regular student of Balvlkas, for a minimum period of 3 years.

The Guru should observe the behaviour and discipline of the student in the

Balvikas classes. The scholarship will be awarded to students from Std. VIII

and above. (Higher secondary school and college) The reason being that, it is

at this juncture that due to additional expenses, children are made to drop out

of schools. Apart from the above qualifications, the students are selected on

the basis of an aptitude test, which is held at Dharmakshetra. The test will

determine the child's knowledge on Indian Culture and Human Values through

simple and easy questions on India, Indian culture and topics covered in Bal

Vikas.

 

It is resolved to award this scholarship to the deserving Girl students of Mumbai and Sholapur.

EDUCATION IN HUMAN VALUES PROGRAMME

 

Under the aegis of the Institute of Sathya Sai Education (India), the Sri Sathya

Sai Schooling for Excellence Curriculum has been introduced in 42 schools in

Mumbai. As a part of the 80th Birthday programme of Bhagawan Baba, the number

of such 'adopted' schools is being raised to 80 during 2005. This would

necessitate conducting extensive teacher-training courses and appreciably

increasing the resource faculty.

 

The 'adopted schools' participate in an annual human values festival of music,

dance and drama. The fifth annual event was recently held on 11th and 12th

December 2004 in Dharmakshetra in which all the 42 schools had sent over 800

students to participate in a number of events. The annual festival in 2005 will

be a mega event for over 1500 students from all the adopted schools. This will

be one of the major educational activities conducted during 2005 under the 80th

Birthday programme.

SRI SATHYA SAI AWARENESS PROGRAMME FOR THE YOUTH

 

The Sri Sathya Sai Awareness Programme for Youth is an activity designed to

convey Swami'smessage on Human Values and National Integration the Youth of the

various colleges across Mumbai and Goa; with the knowledge firmly entrenched in

the mind that it is the Youth of today who are Lhe leaders of tomorrow.

Accordingly essay, elocution, impromptu speaking, poster-making, group singing

and drama competitions are conducted n the colleges, on topics pertaining to

themes centered on the human values of truth, righteous conduct, love, peace

and non violence and patriotism with a view to encourage the students to think

and reflect on the same and thereby resolve to transform themselves.

 

It is proposed to conduct this programme in 80 colleges of Mumbai and Goa in the year 2005.

SRI SATHYA SAI BALVIKAS ARCHAIVE

 

The Sri Sathya Sai Bal Vikas Movement is an important milestone in the Divine

Mission of Bhagwan Baba. Dharmakshetra has had a very important role to play in

this movement and as such the first of its kind is being set up at Dharmakshetra

to emphasise the histrorical and conceptual development of the Sri Sathya Sai

Bal Vikas and its importance in the world.
