Guest guest
Sai Ram By Earthquake Bulletins and Catalogs at the USGS National Earthquake Information Center (Stuart A. Sipkin, Waverly J. Person, and Bruce W. Presgrave US Geological Survey National Earthquake Information Center May 2000) Preliminary Determination of Epicenters declares that year 1949 contained the locations of 120 earthquakes; on 1998, the number had grown to 21,688. Below text is a figure what shows the growth of Earthquakes in the world. It has taken from site http://neic.usgs.gov/neis/tours/neic_bulletins.html. There is another site http://neic.usgs.gov/neis/bulletin/ what gives daily information about worldwide earthquake activity in the last seven days. At the end of this site is the earthquake pictorial map and coordinated Universal time zone table. As you can notice by this site, there are several earthquakes every day. On 6th January 2005 from 00:02: 25 to 00:56:26 were 6 earthquakes with magnitude 6,2- 5,1 During the year 2005 have been about 44 earthquakes yet. 2005 will be a crucial year in determining the future of the planet as declared many ecologists. What are the other kinds of humans' scientific and activity and technology not in balance with laws of nature is possible to examine in popular, understandable even to prime school students' site http://www.foe.co.uk/resource/press_releases/2005_a_crucial_year_for_li_23122004.html. However, the activity, directed to improve humans' lapses by governments, organizations have no significant results until there is any evolution in human mind towards spiritual values. "Nature is causing various disasters such as earthquakes, famines, floods and volcanic eruptions. What is the reason? The spiritual lapses of man account for these calamities." (Sanathana Sarathi, p.11, November 1993). Humans' mistakes begin from blind actions of human delusive mind i.e. spiritual lapses. Humanity obtains information through senses (mind). When the mind is not oriented to the harmony, order and general laws of Nature, as Swami and even many of holistic scientists declare, the results may be less or more largely destructive for humanity. "Science can offer you only temporary worldly comforts. Spirituality alone can give you enduring bliss. All the amenities which provide temporary comfort also give rise to unhappiness. Peace, therefore cannot be got through science. In fact, science and technology today areleading man away from peace. If we desire peace for the individual, for the society and for the nation, it can only be achieved through spiritual means. Hence, recognising the truth, without attaching excessive importance to worldly comforts, we must make every effort to acquire peace of mind. No doubt physical comforts are necessary up to a point. But they should be limited to meeting the basic demands of nature." (Extracts from: "Sathya Sai Speaks." Volume 21, "The Scientist and the Saint," Chapter 13). How can humanity reach to the spiritual evolution of consciousness? Directions and methods based on Vedas and scriptures have complemented and explained by Swami's constantly during many years. The results in practice are insignificant on the worldwide scale. To teach humanity is there indeed regional or even global disasters are needed? In this Earth all actions from subatomic particles to living beings and their actions are interconnected. Neale Donald Walsch advices: "I am inviting you to create Tomorrow’s God. This is the Same God Who Always Was, Is Now, and Always Will Be – it is simply not the God of your present understanding." I like to add that it is God within, the same God in all humans as billions sparks. How it is possible that God's billions sparks under flag of technology and science they created for their own pleasure, constantly destroying their home and each other? Here urgent actuality to obtain, experience and teach the spiritual values of Swami's Teaching is the most significant than in previous times. " Prakriti (nature) has been communicating a lesson to us that there can be no pot without mud, there can be no ornament without gold, there can be no cloth without yarn and there can be no world without Brahman. Nature is not anybody's property. It is not even the property of all the people put together. Nature belongs to God. Therefore, if you want to keep nature under control, you will have to do so only after earning God's grace. If after acquiring God's grace, you undertake to conquer nature, it will herself yield to you. Today, by neglecting and forgetting the Lord, we are attempting to use the nature unsuccessfully for selfish purposes." (Extracts-compilation from: Bhagawan Sathya Sai Baba. Divine Discourse "Do not exploit Nature without seeking the Grace of God." Summer Course in Spirituality and Indian Culture. May 1973, Brindavan). Figure 1. Guest guest
Reet has laid bare the facts that result in the upheavel of nature. You may be doing many poojas (ritualistic prayers), but if your life is full of kama, krodha, lobha, moha and matserya (Passion, Anger, Greed, Attachment and Jealosy) - you are not advancing on the Spiritual Path despite all the ritualistic prayers. Indeed Hands that Serve are better then lips that pray. Almost a decade ago - AIDS landed in mankinds lap. It was educated as "Gods punishment to the Immoral". But, did mankind learn Gods Message and mend its ways - No - it did not. Once the idea of protected sex had found ground - it saw proliferation of condom factories all over the world. Sex education is now given in the class room - with an aim to prevent aids - use of condoms is taught in school to prevent aids. Condoms may protect you from aids - but, they are no shelter fron the Tsunami. Nature does not accept this KAMA. Another message that has come very clearly above the Tsunami waves is the devastation of the LTTE areas in Sri Lanka and Ache province in Indonesia. Both these areas are of self styled leaders, trying to break up the country on color and caste. Nature does not accept this GREED. No one, in this agony of AIDS prevention - even remotely consider the benefits of the old system of education based on Brahmcharya (Celebacy) around the ashram - ancient school of education with a Guru. Sathya Sai institutions are run on the ancient method of education - boys and girls have their own institutions. Swami does not permit co-education - as that does not benefit neither the boys nor the girls.
