Saibaba calls for`selfless' devotion

By Our Staff Reporter

ANANTAPUR, DEC. 25. Sathya Saibaba of Puttaparthi has called for belief in the

Almighty to develop confidence. Selfless devotion would bring in good fortune,

he added.

In his discourse on the occasion of Christmas celebrations at Sai Kulwanth Hall

in Prashanti Nilayam at Puttaparthi today he said one who prayed for fulfilment

of wishes was not a genuine devotee.

One who is contented with whatever comes his way was the real follower of the Almighty, he said.

Earlier, devotees from 22 countries sang carols. The students of Sathya Sai

School performed a violin concert on the occasion.

An anonymous devotee -- a former student of Sathya Sai educational institutions

-- who is working in Germany presented a Japan-made luxury car to Saibaba.

Christmas was celebrated with gaiety and religious fervour all over the district.
