I would suggest that please give your time as a volunteer if you are at the scene. All devotees around the World who are touched by this should not send any money to individuals and Dr. Michael Goldstein, Chairman, Prasanthi Council has also advised us to not solicit donations. We must send funds to: "The Prime Minister's National Relief Fund" http://pmindia.nic.in/relief.htm or Red Cross http://www.indianredcross.org/donation.html or similar organizations http://www.vichaar.org/article134.html who are officially collecting the funds for relief work. My suggestion would be to carry out the seva through our Samithys or sai centre, where u can mobilise more brothers and sisters to carry out the seva and it will be easier for others to donate centres/organisation in terms of money and kinds. Guest guest Posted December 30, 2004 Report Share Posted December 30, 2004 I totally agree with you we as a individual must not entangle with money -I think we must donate money to reputed concerns or any PM relief funds.As overseaslike me I am very much desirous to send some amount but DR Goldstein doesn't approve any monetary solicitation.So I am in a dilemma as CNN news mentioned hard cash is required rather than commodities, let see hoping to get some message from our North American organisations.
