Guest guest
‘Wavering mind, the root cause of failure’ "newindpress" SOUTHERN NEWS - ANDHRA PRADESH Tuesday November 23 2004 00:46 IST PUTTAPARTI: Concentration and steady mind play a vital role in achieving targets in our life. One should not have a wavering mind, which is the main reason for failure, Sri Satya Sai Baba said. In his benedictory address at the 23rd convocation of Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Learning here on Monday, he advised the students to concentrate on their studies. ``If you want to achieve anything in life, you should have a steady mind and strive to realise your ambition irrespective of hurdles,'' Baba said. Appreciating Deepthi Bhagya, the winner of Sri Satya Sai all-rounder gold medal, Baba advised the students to consider Bhagya as their role model. ``She was a diabetic by birth. Sometimes she was not able to attend classes but scored high marks in examinations because of her determination and dedication. All the students also should concentrate on their studies to become somebody in the society,'' Baba said. Reiterating that nothing can substitute love in the world, he said that everyone should realise the truth that Love is God and God is Love. ``We have to see divinity in every human being and consider all human beings as divine. God is everywhere (omnipresent) and we should be able to see him in every human being because all of us are embodiment of God,'' Baba said adding that he preaches love wherever he goes. Earlier, delivering convocation address, former secretary (foreign affairs) Maharaja Krishna Rasgotra, who had the privilege of being the chief guest for seven times, appreciated the Gram Seva programme by the Satya Sai students in the surrounding villages. He said the rural health scene in China was revolutionised by ``barefoot doctors'' administering indigenous Chinese medicine. ``I wonder whether, as part of the Gram Seva progrmme, or some other suitable way, this University can take the benefits of ayurveda to the villages served by the programme," he said. Speaking on the occasion S.V. Giri, Vice-Chancellor of Satya Sai University said the students of Sri Satya Sai Institute have distributed more than a lakh sarees to needy women in rural areas.
