Immortal words from Lord Sathya Sai Baba:

Once my Word goes forth, it must happen accordingly.

Believe Me, nothing can hamper Me; My Will must prevail.

No one can understand my mystery.

Attach your mind to the Lord.

You owe your birth to God, you subsist on God and you merge in God.

Understand what I teach, not 'who is the teacher'.

You must dive deep into the sea to get the pearls.

You are my treasure; even if you deny Me.

All the powers I have are for you.

I shall give even if you do not ask, for it is your right to share in it.

There is no one who can change my course or affect my conduct.

I will take my own time to carry out my plan.

My word will never fail.

I am yours and you are mine.

Do not celebrate my birthday for I am never born. Celebrate the day when I am born in your heart.

You are luckier than men of previous generations. The accumulated merit of many

previous births must have granted you this luck.

I command you: never hate others, or wish evil of them or talk ill of them.

I am here ready to help you from the first lesson to the last.

A time will come when the world will know about the Avatar through public declaration.

I incarnate from age to age.

I have come to correct the buddhi, the intelligence.

You have forgotten the way to blessedness.

If you waste time of saving yourselves, it is just your fate.

Very few of you desire to get from me the thing that I have come to give you:

namely, liberation itself.

Cultivate a nearness to me in the heart and it will be rewarded.

This is a great chance. Be confident that you will be liberated.

Why fear when I am here?

Put all your faith in me. I shall guide and guard you.

Mind must be free of prejudice and passion, lust and greed, anger and envy.

Prepare for shouldering the task assigned to you- to be instruments.

Ask me.

Say to yourself "I am not man, I am God; I am not man, I am God."

Develop a habit of visualizing unity in diversity.

What accompanies us to the next world is our good conduct

The Avatar takes the human form and behaves in a human way so that mankind can

feel kinship with the divinity.

It is my mission to develop every little spark of God in everyone.

In my present Avatar, I have come armed with the fullness of the power of

formless God to correct mankind.

I am everything, everywhere, omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent.

I am the Dance Master. I am Nataraj, Prince of Dancers. You are my pupils. I

alone know the agony of teaching you each step to the dance.

What I will, instantly happens.

Men will become shareholders of my sankalpa shakti (divine power).

Man has to be unmade and remade with his ego destroyed abd replaced by a transcendent consciousness.

The mission of the present Avatar is to make everyone realize that the same God

or divinity resides in everyone.

If someone asks you where is God, tell him that he is at Puttaparthi.

When among men, I am man. When among women, I am women. AMong children, I am a

child. When I am alone, I am God.

Prema Sai, the third Avatar, will promote the evangel news that not only God

reside in everyone, but everybody is God.

The three Avatars carry the triple message of work, worship and wisdom.

Purpose of the triple incarnation is to unite all mankind into one caste or family.

I preach only one religion of love for all.

I know only one language of the heart beyond the mind and intellect.

Curb your desires, reduce your wants, live in spiritual austerity.

This is the Golden Age for the seekers of God.

I want each and every one of you to reach the highest spiritual state.

I wish each of you to know the joy of full unity with God.

My children, awaken now while the divine Avatar is here to guide you.

You have this opportunity to escape from the darkness into light simply by

putting my teachings into practice in your daily lives.

Open your hearts and let the love flow.

Love will overcome all barriers.

See God in everyone and everything.

God is within you. Seek Him, feel him, embrace him. He is there deep inside you, the self.

My children, the time of awakening has come and that time is now.

My children, God is love, you are God, and you should awaken to that truth.

See the light, live in light and let love blossom in your hearts.

Man is living in the dawn of a Golden Age.

The time has indeed come for a great awakening.

The days of ignorance and illusion will be replaced by a new Godlen Age.

The day of awakening is here and the day of reckoning, or weeding out, is not far away.

Others will fall by the wayside, left behind and lost in a world of illusion and darkness.

When the Godlen Age dawns there will be harmony throughout the world and lvoe will flow everywhere.

Surrender to the Lord and love Him as He loves you.

Everyone has the opportunity to enter the new Golden Age but each has a choice,

the free will, to decide his own future,...

Arise, my children, awaken to the truth, listen to the word of God and know that

only the spiritual path can lead you out of the wilderness.

Love is the key, love is the way. Open your heart and let love flow.

So, in your lives, by your example, live and practise my message.

People could not understand the Lord in super-human form.

The totality of Divine Energy has come unto humanity as Sathya Sai.

Remember, God has incarnated Himself as Sai.

A silent revolution is going through every structure of human society.

This is a golden opportunity of earning my grace and thus achieving your goal.

If you miss it, you miss it forever.

Your mission has begun...each of you has a unique and valuable part to play in

this lifetime. Only those whom I have called can serve me.

Fear not, my children, all will be well.

Love and light will replace the darkness and a new era will be upon you soon.

Tranformation must begin with the individual. When the individual changes, the world will change.

Avoid wasting of food, time, money and energy.

What men have to aim at is not wealth but right conduct.

Money earned by unworthy means is nothing but dust.

If you adhere to truth and righteousness, they will protect both you and the country.

Always remembering that you are a fragment of the divine.

You have to engage yourselves in service.

Render service with a pure and selfless heart.

Do everything with the Lord's name on your lips.

How is the mind to be purified? Through service to society with dedication and

identification with everyone.

It is only when man is filled with the spirit of service that his divine nature is revealed.

Everyone should prepare now for this change, for I promise you that it will

come, and only those who are ready will survive.

I shall be grateful to each child of mine who helps me in my task.

I have given the warning. I have given my message a thousand times and no one

who hears My words can proclaim ignorance.

The 70th birthday (year 1995) was the signal from the tower to accelerate.

In the 75th birthday (year 2000), the airplane will leave the ground.

The new Golden Age will evolve gradually.

Your mission has begun. Those are My words to you, My devotees. Each of you has

a unique and valuable part to play in this lifetime. Only those whom I have

called can serve Me. My Mission has now reached that point in time when each of

you now has work to do. This planet has a purpose in the great galaxy in which

it it held. That purpose is now unfolding before our eyes. I call upon you to

radiate the Bhakti (devotion) within you so that its unseen power will envelop

all who come into your orbit. To successfully perform your part, always remain

centred upon Me. Allow yourself to impart that purity of heart within you

towards all human beings and all living creatures and do not reach for the

fruits of your work. This part of My Mission is performed in absolute silence.

You are My instruments from whom My love will pour. Be always aware that the

moment you let your ego descend upon you My work ceases. When you have overcome

your negative unmindfulness, you will again become My Source. The multiplication

of My Love will be felt throughout the world. I have perpared you for this work

over many incarnations. I have drawn you to Me. I have made great steps in My

Mission over these past incarnations. My work is ceaseless and so your work,

too, is without end. Know that I am within and without you. There is no

difference. Rid yourselves of the petty matters forevermore. You are now in Me

and I am now in Thee. There is no difference. My Darshan (spiritual blessings)

will pour forth from Me to and through you. You may be unaware of this constant

action. Be ever pure of heart and soul and mankind in your lifetime will benefit

from your unique qualities. Others, too, will join Me in this Mission when I

draw them to Me. The time is approaching when all humanity will live in

harmony. That time will be here sooner than one expects. Before it arrives be

prepared for whatever is needed to reveal to every living thing the true

purpose of existence. It is not what anyone alive can imagine. It is not

something that one can try to aspire to. It is beyond all comprehension. I can

say that its beauty is magnificent beyond all dreams. And as each of you

perform your silent work, I embrace you to My Heart and henceforth your souls

shall be lifted up and your eyes will reveal My Presence within. This I say to

all My Devotees from the Lord's Mountain Top where all the Universes become

one. Be about My work, My beloved Bhaktas. Your breath will carry the scent of

the blossoms of Heaven. Your example will be that of Angels. Your joy will be

My Joy.

Testimony of the Modern Day Masters

One of the greatest Saints of this century was a woman named Anandamoyi Ma. (The

name translates as ‘Bliss-permeated Mother.’ There’s a photo of her, standing

next to Paramahansa Yogananda, in Autobiography of a Yogi.) She was so pure and

filled with God that she was widely considered to be a Divine Incarnation

herself: there seemed to be nothing in her but God, and her words were Truth

itself. According to one of her closest Western devotees, over the years she

had often been asked, “Who is this Sathya Sai Baba we keep hearing about?” But

for many years she never gave an answer. In the last year of her life, however,

the question came up again, and this time she gave the following response: “This

body will speak on this question only once; don’t ask again. Sathya Sai Baba is

the most powerful incarnation of God ever to come to the Earth. And there won’t

be another at His level for another sixty centuries.”1

That amazing testimony was recently strengthened for me when I went to one of

Anandamoyi Ma’s ashrams in the Himalayas. When I shared the preceding quote

with a Swami there7, he said that Anandamoyi Ma had then added, “It’s no wonder

you keep hearing about Sai Baba. He is the Avatar of this Yuga!” (Avatar means

Incarnation of God; a Yuga is an era lasting many thousands of years.)

Other Saints have given similar testimony. Shortly before he left his physical

body behind, Paramahansa Yogananda was approached by one of his close American

disciples, a woman. “Master,” she said, “I know you are planning on leaving

your body. You must take me with you! You are my God!”

“Nonsense,” replied Yogananda. “God is God; I am your Guru.”

“But Master, if you leave without me, I will commit suicide!”

“Enough of that foolishness! God Himself is now incarnate on Earth, in South

India. His name is Sai Baba. When I leave you are going to live with Him.”

(His prediction proved correct; after Yogananda’s death, that devotee spent the

rest of her life at Sai Baba’s ashram.)8

Mata Amritanandamayi (also known as Ammachi), Herself considered to be an

incarnation of the Divine Mother, was once asked, “Who is Sai Baba?” She

replied, “Avatar. Perfect from birth.”9

On the day after Sai Baba’s birth (November 23, 1926), Sri Aurobindo, another

great Saint of this century, broke a long period of silence to announce,

“Twenty-fourth November, 1926, was the descent of Krishna into the physical. A

power infallible shall lead the thought, in earthly hearts kindle the Immortal’s

Fire, even the multitude shall hear the voice!”10 It seems obvious at this point

that his announcement of Krishna’s physical re-embodiment was referring to the

birth of Sathya Sai Baba.

Mother Krishnabai, the Self-Realized disciple of Swami Ramdas (the great Saint

from Kerala), told her devotees, “Sai Baba is an Avatar, a full incarnation of

Krishna. He is Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva together in one form!” She recommended

they spend as much time in His presence as possible.11

Swami Satchidananda, the Enlightened sage who currently runs Anandashram in

Kerala, was recently asked about the allegations against Sai Baba. He replied,

“Forget about it. He is God!”12

Karunamayi (also known as Vijayeshwari Devi, considered by many to be a living

incarnation of the Goddess Sarasvati) recently told one of her close devotees,

"Sai Baba and Amma [meaning herself] are both watching over you." Apparently

she also knows who Baba is!

Yogi Ramsuratkumar made it clear on numerous occasions that Sai Baba is an

incarnation of God. He often asked visitors from Baba’s ashram, “You’ve left

God to see this beggar?”13 (Of course, that “beggar” was himself merged in the

all-pervading Consciousness; the beauty of his attainment was matched only by

his humility.)

Shiva Balayogi, another of the great Gurus of the last century, was once asked

about Sai Baba. He replied, “Sathya Sai Baba is an Avatar.”14

Master El Moya and Master Kuthumi, two of the great Ascended Masters behind the

founding of the Theosophical Movement, also declared Sai Baba to be an Avatar.

According to author Howard Murphet, in the book “The Light Will Set You Free”

these Masters have stated, “Avatar Sai Baba is carrying the Divine

consciousness in the world today.”15

Maitreya, the mysterious Master who has been miraculously appearing before

people in various places around the globe throughout the last two decades, has

said (through his spokesman, Benjamin Creme) that He (Maitreya) is the

planetary Avatar, while Sai Baba is the Universal Avatar.16

Baba’s Own Words

And what does Baba Himself say? “The totality of Divine Energy has come unto

humanity as Sathya Sai. This is a human form in which every Divine Entity,

every Divine Principle, that is to say all the names and forms ascribed by man

to God are manifest.”19 He says He is the Father who sent Jesus - but then

adds that we are also God, but have forgotten:

“You as body, mind or soul are a dream. But what you really are is pure

existence, knowledge, bliss. You are the God of this universe.”20

He declares that He knows the entire past and future of every one of us, as well

as our every thought - and frequently proves this assertion by revealing

intimate knowledge of the innermost thoughts and personal lives of His

devotees. His continuous flow, for over six decades, of miraculous

manifestations, and instantaneous healings of ‘incurable’ maladies such as

cancer, paralysis and blindness, is, to my knowledge, unparalleled in the

history of the world. I’ve also read a number of well-documented accounts of

Baba bringing people back from the dead, including a Nepalese woman named

Bharosa Adhikari, and an elderly American named Walter Cowan, whose

resurrection is beautifully described in My Baba and I, by Dr. John Hislop.
