Om Shri Sai Ram

Many times in our lives we go through trials and tribulations.

Sometime they seem unbearable and torturous. However, we are all here

to wipe of karma & being contemporaries of the Avatar this process is

sometimes somewhat accelerated. This story below better explains.

Many years back a devotee from India once went to Swami with his

family. While at the ashram Swami graced them with an interview &

they thoroughly enjoyed the experience with Swami saying Very Happy &

I Bless You, I Bless You, I Bless You.

The gentleman & his family returned home very inspired and full of

that Divine Energy. During the first couple months and returning,

things on the man work front started getting shaky. Not worrying too

much the man put his faith in Bhagawans triple blessing, " I Bless

You !" x3. Because of the pressure at work, there was some friction

at home. The kids also were not on best behaviour & the like. this

went on for a year.

The next year this family returned to Bhagawan only to be totally

ignored. not only that, it so turned out that even they couldn't even

get a close Darshan line. So, they returned dejected.

As soon as the returned home the man lost his job. Soon the trouble

at home hightened with serious problems in the marriage. The kids

barely doing any justice in their studies. No matter where this man

went no-one would give him a job. The household managed on the meager

savings they had over the years. Still remembering Bhagawan's words &

yet at the same time having some questions, after a year the family

made another trip to Swami just to experience the same trouble, this

time strangely being always harassed by Sevadals on something or the

other during their stay at the ashram.

Once again returning seriously doubting the authenticity of this God

who blessed them. Things becoming unbearable financially, they lost

their house, car & all their material possesions. Having to sell what

jewellry they had to survive they had to impose upon some relatives

for shelter. Husband & wife were always squabling and it came to the

point of divorce. What kind of God would do this to His devotee was

the question in the mans mind. By some stroke of luck, they decided

to go one more time to Swami & after that to call the marriage quits.

They arrived at the ashram & again expreince the same hardships &

total ignoring leela again. On the morning they are to leave,

miraculously they are called in for an interview. The man asks

Swami, " Is the result of Your Blessings. We have lost everything. We

are having problems." Swami smiles at him and says,"My Dear, in these

past three years of your life, these past three years of hardship,

My Grace in these three years has wiped out THREE LIFETIMES of your

karma."

Dear sister/brother, we don't know what the Master Planner has in

store or how He is Gracing us. Let us be grateful just for the simple

knowledge that we know He is here. We are with GOD. Wow. Sit and

think about that for a while. Just that we blessed with this

opportunity makes one shed tears of joy. Contemplate on this in

silence. We are not here to get possesions, earn degrees or any other

things that today's society dictates one to do. Millions own houses,

millions have degress, millions have millions. How many have the

chance to serve in this mission actively? We are here to return to

Him. THAT IS ALL. only by Namasmarana (constant contemplation on the

Lords Name) & Seva (Selfless Service) can we achieve this goal.

How to do? Simply doing bhajans, attending Sai activities wont

achieve this goal. Only by doing service to fellow creation whilst

constantly having His Name in our hearts, minds & lips will this move

us forward. Everything whether at home, work, school or at an

organised Sai Seva activity is a Seva opportunity. Grab it and make

full use of it.

Sorry for this long Mahabharata. Maybe it was part of your Karma to

be tortured thus. After this very holy weekend, njoy :-)

Jai Sai Ram
