Guest guest
Apparently it seems most are "disappointed" that Swami is not walking and He Himself is limping - a feeling that God is "not keeping good health" - which thought generally puts faith away and to test. But the chanting of the Vedas when Swami enters the hall and sits around for sometime, the overall discipline in the hall and presincts continue to be mood-elevating. There is definitely an overall PEACE permeading the PN campus. A divine ambience exists. Lot of things in Avatar's mission cannot be predicted and logic has no place. Going by what I have read, heard and assess intuitively I feel the day is not far off when Prasanthi Nilayam Hall will be full of Swamijis, Saints, Peethathipathis, Mathathipathis and Bishops and Pastors and other holy men vying for His darshan taking tokens just as we are dong today. That Swami would be rarely available for darshan and we have to be content with a darshan of some small orange speck from far. That day is not far too. Possibly the last 16 years of Swami in His physical frame could be very eventful bringing the whole world here. BUT IT WOULD BE INTELLIGENT AND RELIGIOUSLY CORRECT FOR US TO realise that Swami is with us all around and get reassured of this FACT listening to the "long distance" and first hand miracles happening all over the world confirming his omnipotence and presence. On October 23rd when I left PN to Tirupathi to see Lord Venkateswara and when I saw the commotion and crowd and general level of religious fervour low or absent and compared this to the environment and atmosphere in PN, I could easily feel God lives in PN and one of His images is in Tirupathi. May the world realise this soon. Sairam.hastasana <hastasana (AT) (DOT) co.uk> wrote: "Many years ago I had a dream where Swami led me and a friend out of a building .......... Guest guest
"hastasana" <hastasana Tue Oct 26, 2004 0:46pm Re: P.N. Remu tsv Dear Remu, The report I posted concerning changes in P.N. was not intended to be a 'downer' but to share with others, mainly those people living overseas and away from India. Of course there are many of us who wish Swami could walk at darshan; treat us in the same way as before. This is quite natural especially for people living thousands of miles away who have limited time and often-limited funds to visit India. >From what I gather Swami has changed his darshans routines every 10 to 15 years since the early 1940's. Therefore changes are nothing new in his ashram. For the past two decades darshans were generally directed towards the worldly people. During the 1990's large groups from abroad were given numerous interviews and gifts from Swami. One has to assume it was their *`time.' (*I can think of no better word.) Now it is the turn for students, school children, and their families. Also it is time for local people to enjoy Swami's darshan. The mandir only holds so many people and once our 'physical' time with Swami is completed, I believe he moves us on. I remember when I first visited in 1990, I thought the ashram was wonderful but was often told by older residents that it was nothing compared to the 1970's and 1980's. Thus we each have our 'own' time with Swami to enjoy darshans in an atmosphere most suited to our personalities. I am sure when Swami moves into the new house there will be further changes. Then once the Pournachandra hall is pulled down for additional seating, (as intended) there will be changes again. This does not mean we lose Swami when his physical presence is no longer seen quite so often, but it is a wake up call to seek him within our hearts. I remember someone telling me years ago that Swami said, "First I will call the brown monkeys, then the red monkeys, and then the worldly monkeys, then lastly I will call the spiritual people." I am sure this is how it will be. Naturally I wish I could live closer to Swami and travel frequently to visit him at the ashram for darshan but living in Europe makes frequent visits impossible. Our time with him therefore is so important to us, as it is so fleeting. I how this little letter explains things better. Sai Ram Hastasana, we were probably in PN at the same time. my husband and i just returned 2 weeks ago and i understand how u feel. it was our 2nd trip (last year being our first trip) and alot had changed in just 1 year. many times my line drew token #1 but was seated behind vips. many times i got pushed, shoved, and yelled at- and not only by locals but foreigners too! but even with these negative experiences the positive ones cancel them out. seeing Swami's face, seeing His little feet peeking under His robe, seeing His eyes as He looked over our way, seeing Him smile, hearing Him give a discourse and singing after, seeing every small gesture He made...just being in His Devine Presence was worth all and any inconveniences. one of the important things i learned on this trip is that Baba is with us all the time. He is above us, around us, below us, inside of us. of course we all yearn to be physically close to Him but we have to learn to see beyond the physical form. Swami DOES want us to look for Him in our hearts for that is where He PERMANENTLY RESIDES. we must search for the abode of peace within ourselves. Baba knows we are there even if we feel He doesn't. He knows who needs what. He speaks to us every day we just have to be aware of it. u are extremely blessed to know Swami for so long and have had the opportunity to travel to PN. i have been a devotee for 4 short years. many times i wonder what my life would be like if i didn't know Baba and i realize how blessed i am just knowing about Him. jai sai ram, scarlett
