Flights are neither available from BOMBAY(Mumbay) nor MADRAS(Chennai) anymore. There are flights from and to BANGALORE - PUTTAPARTHY. Flight information from the offcial site is given here http://www.srisathyasai.org.in/ I guess it will not make sense going by airplane - it should be too expensive. Better keep the money and make a donation at the ashram for any of the purposes eligible. To the best of my knowledge, Since end of August 2004, Indian Airlines has discontinued flights between Mumbai (Bombay) and Puttparthi. However, Indian Airlines does have a schedule of Three flights a week Between BANGALORE and Puttparthi (Monday, Thursday and Saturday).starting October 11 of this year.
