Events at Prashanthi Nilayam - 20 OCT 2004

Dassara Celebrations

 

Swami came in the morning at 7.20 am and after reaching the lobby,

spent almost 50 minutes listening to the chanting of the Vedas.He

went to his room at 8.10 am. Sweets were distributed to the

devotees. The yagna started at around 7 am at Poornachandra Hall and

ended at around 11.15 am.

 

In the afternoon, swami came at 3.20 pm and at 3.40 pm the fourth

day proceedings of the Prashanthi Vidwan Maha sabha commenced. There

were 3 speakers who were first introduced by Sanjay Sahney. The

first speker, Sri Raju, student spoke in telugu. the second was Sri

Ravi Mariwala, ex student and currently working in the super

speciality hospital and the third was Sri Ramamurthy, Professor in

the School of Management. Swami started His discourse at 4.45 pm and

spoke till 5.40 pm. Swami spoke about the presence of Divinity in

evrything in this universe. He also dwelt at length on the teachings

of Adi Shankara on Advaitha, Sri Ramanuja on Visishtadvaita and Sri

madhva on Dvaitha. He said ultimately all the teachings point to the

unity of the divine principle present in everything. At the end of

Discourse, He sand the Bhajan " Bhaja Govindam" and then asked the

boys to start chanting the Vedas. After a couple of minutes, mangala

Aarathi was performend and Swami left Sai Kulwant Hall.
