Guest guest
Om Sai Ram dear Santhya Maniam Thank you very much for this prayer. I am grateful with a means to contribute to Swami's healing. It would help me while reciting it 21 times a day, to know the meaning of the prayer. Can anyone tell the meaning of the prayer; 'Om Sri Sai Mata Sampoorna Arokia Prapti Hu' Ja Sai Ram, Marjuna Hendriks, The Netherlands - santhya maniam saibabanews Wednesday, October 20, 2004 12:44 PM [saibabanews] Prayer for Baba
Guest guest
Sai Ram, I often thought that we all could pray together for Swami's physical well-being, although we know Swami CANNOT be hindered whatever by ANY disability for He is EVER Full. When devotees feel that Swami is not well, it is only for our sake that He is not well. We have to do more than we are doing at the moment; we have to love Him more and love our neighbours more because He is in all. Then we have to follow all His teachings, for this will make Him happy and that will heal Him sooner. It is because of this that we feel He is not well. Jesus had to shed His blood to free those who believe in Him. Likewise Swami is going through all these for our sake. If we follow well His teachings, what will the need be for Him to suffer to save us? So the prayer is good. I think there is a story I heard once in a Hare Krishna Temple that Lord Kirshna fell sick one day and needed the dust of the feet of his devotees to get well. Nobody wanted to commit sin by offering the dust of his feet to the Lord, but the gopis did and the Lord was well. Praying for the well-being and success for God's mission is very important, for the forces against any good works is enormous; and thanks for giving the mantra. But in addition, let us all live truly as devotees, giving up meat, etc as these vices increase the burden on ALL life which means He has to work even harder to free all forms of Life. Loving wishes from Ibadan, Nigeria.

It is because of the wrong doing of humans that Baba is suffering. Swami also said that Mother Nature is so disgusted with the bad things going in the world that it is too much for her to handle. So when Baba puts his feet on the earth, Mother earth holds him down. It is vital that we as Sai devotees build good character by practicing and adhering to Swami's teachings. Sometimes it is hard to control our emotions, but practice makes perfect. God bless! Swamy had always said repeatedly what you see is merely a projection of your mind. If we think Baba is suffering he is suffering , if we think Baba is in complete Bliss and untouched by mortal suffering, it is so!!. It is important to remember, which we all forget, including myself, most of the time, that behind that physical body is the omnipresent, omnicient and eternal and most powerful divinity of the entire cosmos and all solar systems. With a mere willpower he can get away from any physical discomfort, pain or sufferings. We should not associate HIM with the body. Infact our loving mother is so much full of compassion that he ever teaching this confused manakind that as long as we are coiled under this physical body, sufferings, pain and pleasure are but normal. We have to endure them with no escape. Unfortunately Bhagawan is making himself an example to give us the important lesson. Let us remember, "COUNT OUR BLESSINGS THEN SORROWS ARE OUTNUMBERED.." Surely,no doubt, I can see your intense love for Bhagawan. Let you and your family ever be in this bliss of eternal love. Please do let me know of one which has all the words I want. Thanks Neelam

Also at one point Swami mentioned that mother earth is pulling Him and that is why He finds very heavy while walking. Also I want ot know do we have to pray for Swami the prayer we got from the group ,because Swami says that nothing can happen to Him. So I am wondering do we have to pray to our creator, sustenance and provider and that even prayer stating -you may be cured from all diseases. We all know the prayer 108 names of Baba where it states that Om Sri Bhagavan Arogya Pradaya namhah (Dispeller of all diseases) so He can do anything as He can transmute the earth into sky and the sky into earth. Guest guest
Sai Ram Soumendra: To answer your question. Baba is our creator, what power do we have to pray for him. What we have to do is pray for ourselves and others. Baba plays with us all the time. I read recently about a time when Baba was in his teens (17) he visited the Kuppam family. While playing with the boys in the bedroom, he offered them bananas which was a no-no to eat in the bedroom. The boys were explaining to Swami that their Mom would be very upset with them. Baba insisted that the boys eat the bananas, which they did eat. Baba then went downstairs and told their Mom that they were eating bananas in the bedroom and left the peels in the room. Of course, Mom went upstairs and punished the boys. The love that the boys had for Swami, they couldn't get angry with him. Swami plays with us all the time, with our love and faith in him we should be able to overcome anything that he dishes out. God is great. In my own struggles, when I'm getting closer to Swami, there are always obstacles to overcome. Stay strong and keep the faith in our sweet God and Mother, Swami. Don't let his tricks fool you. Guest guest
Akkanna_Pragada Anantha_Vijaya <aavijaya Mon Oct 25, 2004 3:12am Re: [saibabanews] Re: Prayer for Baba Sai Ram Often when Swami takes the illness of a devotee, subsequently, he used to ask students and others in the portico "How many have you prayed for me (praying to Swami only)"?. When we seek Swami in the physical form (darshan, sparshan & sambhashan) i.e. when he has come in the human form it is our duty to pray him for his quick recovery not because he needs it but it is in our interest and that of the fellow devotees. Also, Swami had mentioned many a times that he does not have body consciousness and the body has come (his incarnation) for the sake of devotees only so, it is the duty of devotees to take care of his body. Let us not forget our sacred duty using the convenient philosophy saying Swami knows everything, he is our creator etc. then Swami need not look at us, talk to us etc because he knows everything, he is the creator. This is not the right approach. I may be wrong but I am happy and successful with this approach to Swami. Regards ---------- Akkanna_Pragada Anantha_Vijaya <aavijaya Mon Oct 25, 2004 3:54am Re: [saibabanews] Re: Prayer for Baba Sai Ram To become one with Swami or in other words get self realisation then I feel one has to attah or identify himself with Swami. If Swami is hurt physically, it should reflect in us mentally we should feel the pain it is a sign of devotion as experienced by Gopis. I have noticed and warned many a fellow devotees during bhajans in their residences as to not to put serial bulbs on Swami's Photo. Do we ever wear series of glowing bulbs around our neck then how can we put live wires around Swami. We are yet to acquire the state of Jnana (wisdom). When we reach that State we can say Swami has no pain, no sorrow etc till then follow the path of devotion. ---------- sherry jagdeo <sherryjagdeo Mon Oct 25, 2004 6:10am Re: [saibabanews] Re: Prayer for Baba Aum Sai Ram ! thanks so much for sharing that story lisa. Swami's blessings always. sherry. ---------- "cipasat" <prakash Mon Oct 25, 2004 4:53am Re: [saibabanews] Re: Prayer for Baba Sai Ram, brothers and sisters, I think praying for the success and well being of God is actually praying for the health and well being of The entire humanity. Do we not say Jai Sai Ram or Jai Ganesha? Do we not pray "Lord, let Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven?" Why do we pray For Victory or "Jai" for God? We do so because His victory Is OUR Victory. One day after Swami had a fall, He gave darshan to the boys and said He was able to heal quickly because of the prayers of the boys. Praying or sending healing thoughts to God might sound blasphemous, but the love we have for Him will make it easy for us. In fact, all that we wish Him will be returned to us ten times, because He had promised that if we take a step to Him, He will take ten to us. Whatever we give Him will be returned to us tenfold. What then should we give Him? Love of course, for His love will rebounce to us multiplefold. We should pray selflessly knowing that His Will is being done in all the worlds. There might not be the need for a special mantra or prayer. The genuine feelings and healing thoughts to Him will be enough. Are we not co-workers in His Divine Plan?
