Guest guest
Om Sai Ram dear brothers and sisters, For the coming Swami's Birthday programme,we are thinking on putting up a play on Swami's childhood stories, acted out by balvikas kids here. Please do suggest all the incidents that happened during the age 8 -- 14. We are planning to have the grand revelation of Swami at the age of 14 when He threw His books and declared that He belongs to none....... or the incident where Swami threw the flowers in the air and it formed the words "SAI BABA" in Telugu. I'm not sure which happened first. Can you all help by narrating an incident......of Swami's life by confirming at what age IT happened. Must be between the ages [ 8 - 14] or something like that. Thank you in advance, JAI SAI RAM.

We had put up a musical play on Swami's life story for His 77th Birthday celebration here in Malaysia. The scene sequences were: - The birth of Swami. - his childhood where we highlighted his generosity towards animals and poors. - scene where he was punished by his school teacher to stand up on chair and how the chair stuck to the teacher's back. - Next, how Sathya's parents suspected he was possesed and tortured him to chase the 'evil' away and how Satya remained very calm. How Sathya performs miracles by distributing sweets and candies from empty bag. - There was also a scene where sathya would collect all his friends and ran to Kalpavariksha tree and started plucking all type of different fruits asked by his friends. As his friends are eating the fruits, Sathya suddely dissappears from there and appear on the hill, showing his magnificient Vishwaroopa!! - There was also a scene where one day, - After that, at the age of 14, he revealed his true identity by throwing flowers...( we depicted that scene by throwing the flowers and two students ran came into stage with a banner..." I am satya Sai Baba" of course hiding themself behind the banner!!) - The after scenes are on how Swami expanded the service wing and etc!! ---------- Soumendra Bhattacharjee <soumendra_toronto Mon Oct 11, 2004 0:11am Re: [saibabanews] Swami's childhood stories? Sai Ram , I am narrating the incidents as it happened please see the details :- (His age then 14 years) On May 23rd ,1940, there was sharp of events it was then he made a declaration of His Avatarhood. He gathered round His realtives and with a gentle wave of His hand produced flowers and sugar candy. As more and more miracles followed ,people started swarming round Him like bees in search of honey. Sathya's father having heard all this ,rushed to the scene, red with anger, and asked Him "Tell me ,are you ghost or a rogue,or a madcap? Are you a God? Are you Narasimha or Narayana? And then came the startling proclamation . " I am Sai Baba ", said Little Sathya in a confident tone of voice. As He said this.He picked up a few jasmine flowers in His hand threw them on the ground and much to the surprise of all they formed the letters SAI BABA in Telugu !. October 20, 1940 , was a very auspicious day in the history of mankind.Sthaya on returning from school threw His abooks and announced, I am not Sathya, I am Sai Baba. I am leaving . Maya has left me.... I have to commence the Task for which I have come. I cannot stay in this house even for one more moment." When his sister- in-law who was in the kitchen looked out she was astounded to see a bright golden halo around His head. His brother , Seshama Raju , His neighbour , Narayana Sashtri both tried to stop Him from leaving, but, in vain. His sister- in- law and brother however coxed Him to stay on till their parents arrrived. While waiting for His parents to come He sat on the boulder in the garden of Anjaneyulu's house (the salt inspector house) and sang His popular bhajan, "Manasa Bhajo re Guru charanam ,Dusthara Bhava-sagara Tharanam".A photographer tried clicking , but the stone in front was hindering Sathya's Form.He tried moving it , but Sathya forbade him, and the camera was clicked. When the film was developed,lo and behold! Instead of the stone in front of Sathya , there was the image of Shirdi Sai Baba. Sai Ram At the Lotus Feet of Sai Soumendra
