Visit to Puttaparthy

Sairam dear Brothers and Sisters,

 

We will have a visit to Puttaparthi on October 25 or October 26, 2004. We are

all 10 people from Indonesia. I would like to ask for some assistance to guide

us to travel from Bangalore airport to Puttapharti, how to book cars or taxis,

which one good and safe one and where to stay? We will need 5 - 6 rooms.

>From this group I am the only one who has visited Puttapharti before and last

time there was a friend name Nagendra who picked me at airport. I tried to call

this number 08555288417, but could not connected.

At this moment, I would like to ask from brothers and sisters to help me to

check whether there is any changes of this phone number. And any suggestion

related of our visit to Putthaparti.

Sairam,When I went to puttaparti, i called the taxi "babu taxi" and

he was very humble. At the airport he has a stand, but i do not know

the number...I stayed at the ashraiya hotel in Bangalore.

However, my husband has been to parti recently and recommends that

all devotees should stay IN the ashram.....u r blessed,hope u have a

truley magical time.

I would like to inform you that taxis are plying from Bangalore to

Puttaparthy the rates are Rs1200 for non A/C & Rs 1500 for A/C (for

drop) - capacity of a taxi is 4 persons. You can also negotiate with

available tourist centres for private bus - the rates to be

negotiated. Alternatively you have flights on Mondays, Thursdays &

Saturdays as detailed below"

Beginning from 11th October 2004, Indian Airlines has announced that

it shall operate flights thrice a week on the Bangalore-Puttaparthi-

Bangalore route. An Airbus 320 will be plying on this route every

Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

As for accommodation in Prasanthinilayam, it will not be a problem

at all. You will get rooms from Prasanthinilayam's Foreign Devotees

Accommodation Counter. You need to posses passports with valid

visas. You can communicate by a telegram or a letter addressed to

Accommodation Officer, Prasanthinilayam, Puttaparthy-515134

(Anantapur Dist,) Andhra Pradesh, India. This advance information

may facilitater Accommodation Officer to earmark your rooms when

The moment you reach Airport there are counters of Rent A Car,

 

one of the counters has a big photo of Swami,you can use their

 

services ,before aligning finalise the price.Alternatively

 

if you want me ,i can help you in arranging the vehicle through

 

our company"s Agent,and he can hold the placard with your name.
