Guest guest
Blessings of Love and Peace! On at least two occasions that I know of, I believe Sathya Sai Baba saved my life. When I was about fifteen years old, my friend Roxie and I decided we would walk to a Sambos restaurant one Friday night. The restaurant was several miles away. We had walked about a mile on the main road and decided to take a shortcut down a dirt road through the new Seven-Up Bottling Company property. Neither of us had been that way before but it was summer and the moon was full and the sky was clear so our way was well-lit. I had experience hiking and skiing in the Cascade mountains so nothing scared me. I was in my element. We had walked about one hundred feet off of the main road when an uneasy feeling came over me and I thought I heard someone say, "Go back, there's danger ahead." The problem was, there was no voice. It was like a telepathic message. I had no experience with this type of encounter so I was very confused. I stopped, looked at Roxie and said, "Do you hear someone telling us to go back?" "No," came her reply. I guessed I must be imagining things. I started to walk but then I "heard" the voice again admonishing, "Go back, there's danger ahead." I stopped, looked at Roxie and said, "Are you sure you don't hear someone telling us to go back?" She said, "I don't hear anything." Next, I tried to take a step forward, but I couldn't move. Some invisible force held me there. Roxie could see I was trying hard to lift my right foot but nothing was happening. I looked at Roxie, surprised and said, "I can't move. I think we better go back." As soon as my intention was to turn around and go back, I could move again. We started back toward the main road. Both seemingly stunned into silence by the experience, we walked, lost in our thoughts, without saying a word. I wondered if something had really happened, it seemed so unreal. I'm sure Roxie was more confused than I as she had not experienced anything. As we were just about to reach the main road, suddenly, there just above the ground a holographic bible with gold edges and a gold cross in the upper left corner, materialised. This time, Roxie saw it too and ran to grab it. As she reached down to pick it up, the bible disappeared. Astonished, she looked at me and asked, "Did you see that?Yes, I did and I'm not questioning that. We're going home." Many years later in the early eighties, I had begun to learn about the spiritual masters as a result of reading the books,"Life and Teaching of the Masters of the Far East." I was doing spiritual healing three times a week at a spiritualist church, attending group meditations and teaching meditation classes out of my home. I was coming to terms with my spiritual abilities and spiritual encounters were becoming a part of my everyday life as a result of the healing work and meditation. One day, I was driving east on my way home from the downtown area. I was on a side street that had lots of streets running into it from north to south. I had the right of way and the streets intersecting had yield signs. As I came to an intersection I saw to my left a car that was supposed to yield but didn't. I was already coming into the intersection and realized he was not going to stop and would hit me on the driver side door. I swerved to the right and ducked, fully expecting to be hit but when I looked up, nothing had happened and his car had somehow passed through the intersection without hitting me. Stunned and amazed I continued on realizing how blessed I was to have such protection. It wasn't until the mid-eighties that I learned of Sai Baba and realized he must be the GREAT MASTER who saved my life TWICE. I will NEVER forget. Guest guest
Hi Lisa: Thank you for sharing your stories. I will share one; I was with other devotees and we were loading a refrigerator into the back of a pickup truck. I was in my stocking feet because I have trouble with my feet and that felt better; We got it in the truck and we were standing in the truck when there was a slight vibration and I feel backwards out of the pickup truck. My stockinged foot caught on the bottom of the fridge and my head just barely grazed the hard driveway. I was hung up there like that until my friends could get me down. I was not hurt in the least, no pain to my legs or head or anything. I am a big man, over 6' 3" tall and then over three hundred pounds. I know that Baba saved my life then and I wonder how many other times. When we first went to see Baba our friends in the state asked friends in India to bring us a little Ganeash for us to travel with; They did and it was about one inch high and made of silver. We took it home and polished it with silver polish and it shone. But over the next week it began to change and turn to gold; Which it is today, and we never travel without it.
