Swami on extraterrestrials and my own experiences

Sai Ram Melody and Brothers and Sisters,

 

I too have read Swami saying completely conflicting statements about the reality

of ETs -- I guess that shouldn't surprise us by now! I think Baba gives answers

according to what is best for each person. If he doesn't want someone getting

sidetracked with a search for ETs he will tell them they don't exist. In the

Compendium of the Teachings of Sai Baba (by Charlene Leslie-Chaden) there is

this quote from the book The Embodiment of Love that you mentioned Melody

(under the topic Flying Saucers): "I mentioned the great increase in both

landings and actual contacts with the beings from space in what we call flying

saucers. I asked if they were trying to help the earth, and to bring the idea

of brotherhood, and a wider understanding, of other dimensions. Swami replied

that this was so, and added: "And they have much work to do."

 

My approach on those confusing topics in which Baba says different things is to

wait and have Baba reveal to me personally what is the truth he wishes for me.

This is also why there is no one right prescription for anyone, whether it be

what we should eat, how we should conduct our lives, because the "right" path

is unique for each person.

 

I wanted to share with you my own personal experiences with extraterrestrial

contact, which gave me my own answer to this question! One morning about 4

years ago I was just waking up, kind of in that in-between state between

sleeping and waking. Suddenly I heard this voice in my head, very loudly with

a megaphone-like effect. It was a female sounding voice, and seemed to be

coming from across the universe and yet at the same time felt to be coming from

somewhere deep inside of me. She announced that they were an extraterrestrial

civilization and they were "the papilla of a civilization that is yet to be

born." As soon as she was done speaking I heard a big click in my head. I

lurched out of bed with a start, never having had an experience like that

before! I was certainly never seeking out any such contact, as I did not even

know if such things were real, and I did not want to dabble in anything that

Baba had not guided me to. I had to look up the word "papilla" which is a

botany term, meaning "seed". After this experience I prayed fervently to Baba

that I did not want to be misled down any path that was not what he intended

for me, that I only wanted to follow the path of the highest light and service.

I asked for his protection as I was a little concerned! But I also prayed that

if Baba wanted me to be in contact with these beings then I would not resist

either if it was what he had planned for me.

 

After this initial experience these beings of light started gradually

introducing themselves to me over a several year period. They went very, very

slowly because I am the type to get afraid of new experiences. This was all a

bit too much for me to take in! I also had all these ideas in my head about

aliens being dangerous having seen those abduction stories on TV. I was afraid

to let them in, even though I knew deep down they were already a part of me

somehow. After much inner resistance I had an inner experience from my angel,

in which she told me not to be afraid, that they would not harm me. After that

I started to relax. First I would see a lightship in my dreams that would fill

me with an ecstatic love every time I saw it. It was like coming home in some

deep way, I was filled with a sense of well-being beyond anything I had

experienced on this earth. Then they came in a dream, as children, all holding

candles of light, saying "We have been waiting for you" with big smiles on their

faces. Since then I have had many dream messages from them which always fill me

with such love. They feel like angels to me. They are helping me with my own

healing process inside, my return to wholeness. I have not seen what they look

like, perhaps I am not ready for that yet! They are from Arcturus, a star near

the big dipper. They have evolved beyond ego consciousness, and do not have

the cloak of fear over them like we do here on earth until we become fully

awake. My personal understanding is that they, along with other advanced

beings, are here to help earth ascend to a higher level. I have had

experiences with them in meditation while Baba is also present with me, giving

guidance. I have no doubt that this is all from Baba, as he is my gatekeeper

and I know that whatever comes into my life now is with his blessing and a part

of his plan. I do not know what this will evolve into for me, but if it will

help me to serve Baba in the highest way then I'm all for it!

It is an amazing universe.......so filled with wonder! We each have our own

special job to do in serving Baba, each one's mission an indispensable part of

the whole. May we all believe in ourselves the way Swami believes in us....
