News for August 15, 2004

 

Today morning Bhagawan came out at 7:10 AM. He took a full round,

came in front of the Vedam boys and drove further. At this point of

time primary school children were just arriving after the flag

hoisting ceremony (for the Independence Day). So Swami drove further

down the ladies side, took another round in the ladies side and came

to the middle of the hall. From there He directed the car to move

straight to the stage. The car came and stopped where the Vedam boys

were seated. Swami got down from the car, walked up the steps,

listened to the Vedam for a few minutes, then moved on walking

towards the interview room. He called Mr. Kanda Swami and some boys

for an interview. He came out at 8:50 AM, went inside the Mandir and

Bhajan started immediately. At 9:10 AM, Arathy was taken and Swami

went back to His residence at 9:30 AM.

 

As part of Independence Day program senior boys had planned an

elaborate drama to be presented in the Divine presence in the

evening. They had informed Swami earlier about this. And Swami had

told them that He wanted to see their dress rehersal in the

afternoon. So Bhagawan came to Kulwant Hall at 12:30 PM itself(!)

but the boys were not expecting Swami that early. So Swami drove the

car towards the Ganapathy temple, went behind Mandir, and further He

went for a drive to the by pass road situated at the back of

Prasanthi Nilayam. By 1:00 PM He came back in front of W-6 buillding

and finally back to Poornachandra. He came out for Darshan at 3:00

PM itself. He took a full round even on the gents side and after

passing in front of the Vedam boys, got down near the interview room

and went inside the prayer hall, where all the boys were waiting for

Swami with their costumes on. Swami spent around 10 minutes with

them. He came out at 3:20 PM and the drama started. The drama had

lot of scenes depicting the sacrifices made by the elders for Swaraj

and evoked lot of patriotism in the audience. It was excellent and

lasted about an hour or so. Swami created three rings for different

participants and posed for photos with them in big and small groups.

He Himself gave them prasadam and by 4:45 PM, He took Arathy and

went back to Poorna Chandra. Thus ended another memorable day.
