it is with joy that I send you some notes written by an european devotee just

returned from Prashanti Nilayam. I have translated it from italian so to share

it with you. Please forgive my errors.

Notes from a lady devotee's diary

 

To my dear brothers and sisters Om Sai Ram to Everybody I have been in

Puttaparthy from 21 to July 28 and I have spent 8 extraordinary days in the

Divine presence of our beloved Swami. As usual I have felt overwhelmed,

staying face to face with the Lord. There was a very large group coming

from England which remained up to July 25. On July 22 Bhagawan materialized

a chain for a devotee and put it around his neck. How marvelous has been

for all of us to be witnesses of such a extraordinary fact!!! The group

from England has sung Bhajans every evening and the day 24, in the eve of their

departure, Swami has given a sari to every woman and a dhoti to every man.

Swami materialized a chain for a boy of the group which held a

brief discourse talking of his experiences with Swami. Swami has also

materialized a chain for a lady together with the vibhuti, after she held a

brief report on how Swami has healed her from the cancer and on other

experiences with Baba. On July 24 Swami materialized a ring for the same

lady. It has been marvelous to see Swami make these Leelas. In the

morning of July 25 Swami granted an interview to the whole group in the Mandir,

where He manifested other Leelas. From the outside we have been able to clearly

hear the clapping of hands several times. I have been very happy to see Swami

grant interviews almost every day. He is not yet able to freely walk without

help and to see Him so much suffering grieves us a lot. After the departure

of the group, on evening the students of Swami

realized a drama, while another evening some of them talked of their experiences

with Swami. A student has been healed twice from blindness due to an

accident in which he was burnt with an acid while he was accomplish experiments

in a chemical laboratory. The second time the eye was completely missed, as

testified by the doctor. Nevertheless during a Darshan, Swami gave him

vibhuti and told him to remove the bandages the day after. The Doctor

didn't succeed in believing in what they saw when the bandages was removed: the

eye was completely restored in its place and the sight completely returned!!!

On July 26 I was sat in the second line and when Swami passed He looked at me.

I smiled at Him and He reciprocated the smile. This made me immensely

happy. It is so beautiful and

noble to be in His Divine Presence!!! I left Puttaparthy with an heavy heart

full of wistfulness on July 29.
