Events at Prashanthi Nilayam - 16 JUL 2004

 

Swami came in the morning at 7:40 a.m. and the buggy turned at the

ladies side and turned and drove through the pathway in front of the

lobby and entered the veranda from the east side. He picked up a few

devotees for interview and took them inside at 8:10 am. Bhajans were

held from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

 

In the afternoon, Swami came at 3:10 p.m. After driving through the

main pathway in the ladies side, the buggy turned towards the

verandah passing near the group of Veda Chanting boys on on the main

gate side and entered the veranda. Swami went inside the room at

3:20 p.m. Again He came out at 4:00 p.m. and permitted three boys to

speak. Two spoke in English while the third one spoke in Telugu .

Swami materialised Vibhuthi for these boys at the end of their talk.

Thereafter, He asked Sri Anil Kumar to speak at 4:50 p.m. Mangala

Aarathi was performed at the end of Sri Anil Kumar´s speech at 5:25

p.m. and Swami left Sai Kulwant Hall.

Events at Prashanthi Nilayam - 17 JUL 2004

 

Swami came in the morning at 7:42 a.m. and drove through the gents

side and turned and passed in front of the Veda Chanting group and

entered the veranda from the interview room side. The buggy came to

the lobby and stopped. Without getting down, Swami called a few

devotees sitting in the lobby and talked to them. To one of them, He

created a golden chain and put it around his neck. To another, He

created Vibhuthi and gave him. he asked the driver to reverse the

buggy and got down in front of the interview room. He went inside

the room at 8:10 am. Bhajans started at 9:00 a.m. and lasted for 25

minutes.

 

In the afternoon, Swami came at 3:30 p.m. and the buggy went round

the gents side also (the usual Darshan route), and turned and passed

in front of the Veda group and entered the veranda from the

interview room side ans after passing through the veranda, came to

the lobby. Swami got down in the lobby and sat on the sofa. At 3:45

pm, Sri Giri announce the names of the two speakers of the

afternoon. The first was Prof. Ramamurthy of Management Dept and the

second was Sri Bharat Kumar, Second year student of the institute.

Prof ramamurthy spoke at length about educare and how it is

different from the conventional education, followed by some of his

personal experiences with Swami. Sri Bharat Kumar spoke from 4:25

p.m. to 4:50 p.m. Bhajans started at 4:50 p.m. and concluded with

Mangala Aarathi at 5:10 p.m. and Swami left.

Events at Prashanthi Nilaam - 18 JUL 2004

 

Swami came in the morning at 7:42 am. He gave Darshan to the

devotees in the gents side too by following the usual darshan route.

Near the column at the east side of the Mandir, Swami stopped and

talked to a Senior Person and created a ring and gave him. The buggy

then passed in front of the Veda chanting group and entered the

verandah from the interview room side. On the way Swami spoke to

qiute a few priamry school boys who had assembled on the western

side of hall near the mandir. Then the buggy came to the lobby and

Swami got down and came and sat on the sofa at 8:15 a.m. He called a

student Bharat Kumar, who spoke yesterday and materialised a golden

chain with a pendant and put it around his neck. The L&T workers and

staff who are working on the construction project were then seated

in the hall facing Swami. Swami got down from the lobby and

distributed watches to every one of them. he went back to the sofa

and called Sri Giri, Vice Chancellor and a professor in Management

and gave them pens. He then called the L&T in charge and gave him

also a similar pen. Veda Chanting was stopped at 8:58 a.m. and

Bhajans started at 9:00 a.m. Before the conclusion of the Ganesha

Bhajan, swami got up and went back to Poornachandra Hall to give

mangos and sweets to all the workers who are working in construction

project. Meanwhile mangoes and sweets were distributed to the

students, staff and the devotees. Mangala Aarathi was performed at

9:25 a.m. and Swami came back to the mandir at 9.40 am. He left the

mandir at 10:30 am.

 

In the afternoon, Swami came at 2:40 itself! The buggy turned

immediately on entering the Sai Kulwant Hall to the right and drove

through the assembled lady devotees and entered the mandir from the

interview room side. After driving through the veranda, the buggy

came to the lobby and swami got down and sat on the sofa. Veda

chanting was stopped at 3:05 pm, and Sri Giri, the vice chancellor,

announced that Swami blessed two persons to speak in the afternoon,

followed by a drama by the primary school boys entitled ¨I a.m. I¨.

The first one to speak was Smt Poorna Sri Devi, Principal of

Ananthapur campus, followed by Smt Chetna, an alumni of Anathapur

campus. Smt Poorna madam (as she is known among the students) spoke

for 20 minutes and Smt Chtna also spoke for 20 minutes. The drama

started at 4:00 p.m. and lasted for 30 minutes. Mangala Aarathi was

performed at 4:30 p.m. and Swami left Sai Kulwant Hall. there were

no Bhajans in the afternoon.

Events at Prashanthi Nilayam - 19 JUL 2004

 

This morning Swami surprised all the devotees by coming to Sai

Kulwant Hall at 6:40 a.m. He went through the usual Darshan round

covering the gents side also and entered the veranda near the

interview room. He got down near the interview room and meanwhile

quite a few devotees gathered near the interview room and after they

entered the interview room, Swami also entered the room at 7:00 a.m.

and the morning Darshan was over. Bhajans were held from 9:00 a.m.

to 9:25 am.

 

In the afternoon, Swami came at 3:05 p.m. The group of over 250

devotees have come from UK along with Sri Poppat and they had

decorated the Hall with coloured balloons and hoardings. They called

themselves Sai Kingdom, UK., through prominant hoardings. Also,

there were some that read ¨We deserve You¨, ¨We need You¨ and ¨We

love You¨ and sayings of Swami. When Swami came, there were 8 youth

dressed in the traditional Buckingham Palace Guards dress who came

marching from the western gate near Poornachandra Hall in front of

Swami´s buggy. The UK group was sitting in front of the lobby ready

to sing! Swami turned towards the mandir after the group and entered

the veranda from the eastern side. He got down near the interview

room and the devotees he picked up were ushered in to the interview

room. Swami also entered the room at 3:10 p.m. Swami came out at

3:45 p.m. and sat on the sofa. He gave the signal to the UK group to

start their program and they started singing in the special style in

which they sing in chorus. The program was over at 4:50 p.m. and the

Mangala Aarathi song also was sung by them. Swami left the hall.

Swami came in the morning at 7:15 am. After making the full round

including the gents side, Swami got down near the interview room and

took a few devotees for interview. Darshan was over at 7:40 am.

Bhajans were held from 9:00 a.m. for 25 minutes.

 

In the afternoon, Swami came at 2:50 p.m. and after crossing the

Veda Chanting group on the main ally, the buggy turned towards the

mandir and entered the veranda from the eastern side. Swami got down

near the interview room and and took a few devotees for interview.

Swami came out at 3:45 p.m. and sat on the sofa in the lobby. He

permitted the UK group of Sri Ajit Poppat to present their program

entitled ¨God is Here¨. It was the story of Prahlada with the last

scene depicting that the Hiranyakasipu´s´s traits are found today in

everybody in the form of desire, jealousy, greed,anger etc and swami

has taken the avatar to rid the human beings of these traits.

Prahlada and Hiranyakasipu enter the scene, and Prahlada says to his

father to prostrate before Narayana at least now and Hiranyakasipu

prostrates before Swami. After the drama, they were asked to sing

Bhajans at 4:20 p.m. They sang till 4:40 p.m. Swami then asked Sri

Poppat to speak, which he did till 5:10 p.m. Mangala Aarathi was

performed after the speech and Swami left.

Swami came in the morning at 7:20 am. He went round covering the

gents side also, collecting letters from a few and drove in the gap

between the Veda group and the lobby and entered the veranda from

the western side. The buggy drove into the lobby and Swami talked to

a few devotees from the buggy itself and the buggy was asked to

reverse to the interview room. Swami got down near the interview

room, picked up a few devotees for interview and went inside the

room at 7:45 am. Swami came out at around 8 a.m. and drove to Swami

village in the buggy. Swami got down from the buggy and got into the

car and drove from the village to the super speciality hospital

drove slowly round the new quarters for the nurses under

construction and came back by car to the mandir just before the

Bhajans at 9:00 a.m. Bhajans were over at 9:30 a.m.

 

In the afternoon, Swami came at 3:40 p.m. he drove through the

entire Darshan round and entered the veranda from the eastern side

and got down in the veranda and walked to the lobby and sat on the

sofa. He permitted the UK group of Sri poppat to start their

¨Musical Cultural Variety Program¨. They sang with orchestra

English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada songs till 5:00 p.m.

Mangala Aarathi was performed at 5:00 p.m. and Swami went back to

Poornachandra Hall.

Swami came in the morning at 7:15 am. After going round the devotees

in the gents side, the buggy entered the mandir veranda from the

western side and drove to the end of veranda and swami got down near

the door of the bhajan hall. He walked to the lobby and was standing

there for quite some time. He then called one of the ashram staff

members and was talking to him for some time. He then materialized a

golden chain and put it around his neck. Swami then went back to the

veranda and got into the buggy and drove through the main gate at

near the gopuram at 7:40 a.m. and turned left and went round the

ashram. He returned at 8 a.m. after making a round inside the

ashram. Bhajans were held from 9:00 a.m. to 9:25 am.

 

In the afternoon, Swami came at 2:40 p.m. and the buggy turned

towards the veranda after crossing the UK devotees who had assembled

in front of the lobby. He spoke briefly on the way with one devotee

from UK in the ladies side and one devotee from UK on the gents

side. The buggy entered the veranda from the eastern side and drove

through the veranda and stopped near the interview room. Swami got

down and picked up a few people from the veranda and went inside the

interview room at 3:00 p.m. Swami came out at 4:05 p.m. and almost

immediately, signaled to Sri Poppat to start their program. There

were two ladies speaker from the group, one of Indian origin and the

second of British origin. The second lady described as to how Swami

cured her cancer. Swami then materialized a golden chain with

pendant and gave it to her and asked her to wear it. Their group

started the Bhajans at 5:00 p.m. Swami got up at 5:20 p.m. and

Mangala Aarathi was performed. Swami then told the students to fetch

and distribute the Polis (traditional Indian sweet) to the UK

devotees and others. Swami left the hall as the distribution was in

progress.

In the morning, Swami came at 7:20 a.m. He went round the usual

Darshan route and entered the veranda from the eastern side and

stopped near quite a few devotees and went to the interview room. He

picked up a few devotees for interview. Swami came out at around

8:00 a.m. and went to Poornachandra hall. He again came to the

Bhajan Hall around 9:10 a.m. and mangala Aarathi was performed at

9:30 a.m. at the end of Bhajans.

 

In the afternoon, Swami came at 3:10 p.m. and turned to the veranda

at half way in the gents side. He went to the interview room. He

came to the lobby at 3:25 p.m. and sat on the sofa. At 3:45 p.m., He

permitted two men from the UK group to speak. To the first one, He

materialised a golden chain and put it around his neck at the end of

the speech when he came to take Swami´s blessings. Then the music

program by the UK group started at 4:15 p.m. and Swami allowed them

to sing till 5:10 p.m. Booklets were distributed to all the UK

devotees and Mangala Aarathi was performed at 5:15 p.m. after which

Swami left sai Kulwant Hall.

Events at Prashanthi Nilayam - 24 JUL 2004

 

Swami came in the morning at 7:30 am. He went round the gents side

also and entered the veranda from the eastern side and drove

straight near the interview room and got down there. Swami went

inside at 7:45 a.m. Bhajans were held from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

 

In the afternoon, Swami came at 3:15 p.m. The buggy turned after

passing the UK devotees who are normally seated in the centre and

entered the veranda and swami got down near the interview room and

went inside. Swami came out at 3:45 p.m. and sat on the sofa. He

permitted three persons to speak. One of them was a Doctor who took

part in the medical camp conducted by the group. He gave an account

of the medical camp. The last speaker was Sri Ajit Poppat. The medly

Bhajans by the UK group started at 5:00 p.m. at the end of poppat

speech.Swami got up at 5:20 p.m. and mangala Aarathi was performed.

Swami, then distributed sarees personally to most of the female

members of UK group, standing and sat down on the sofa and continued

the distribution. He materialised rings to two of them and a golden

chain to another - all of them of British origin. White safari

material was ditributed to the male members of the group. At 5:30

p.m., Swami asked the boys to sing devotional songs, which they did

till 5:50 p.m. Swami got up and when the boys started singing

aarathi song, swami stopped them saying that mangala Aarathi has

already been performed! The boys and all the devotees, instead,

chanted Sai Gayatri mantra as Swami got into the buggy and drove

away to Poornachandra Hall at 5:55 p.m.
