News for July 14, 2004

 

Today Bhagawan came out for Darshan around 8:00 AM. After making a

full round He drove in front of the Vedam boys. He stopped the car,

got down from His car and sat in front of the Vedam boys for 10

minutes. Then He asked them to stop the Veda chanting as it was time

for them to get to work. All the boys took namaskar and left. Swami

also went inside. In the evening Bhagawan came around 3:30 PM. After

a full round on the gents side, He went for a second round and then

He drove outside the mandir. He returned after 10 minutes and sat

listening to the Veda chantings till 5:10 PM! Then he took Arathy

and left.

Events at Prashanthi Nilayam - 14 JUL 2004

 

Swami came in the morning at 7:50 a.m. and the buggy drove through

the assembled crowd in the gents side too and stopped in front of

the lobby. Swami spoke to a couple of boys from the Veda Chanting

group and drove towards the interview room. Then the buggy turned

and came through the veranda to the lobby and Swami got down at the

lobby. He sat on the sofa and after a few minutes asked the veda

chanting group to get back to the work and the veda chanting

stopped. Swami chair was then moved to the interview room. Bhajans

were held from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

 

In the afternoon, Swami came at 3:05 p.m. The buggy turned in front

of the lobby from the main gangway and entered the varandah. Then it

came out of the verandah at the other side and swami drove out of

Sai Kulwant Hall through the main gate and wnet round the ashram. He

returned through the Poornachandra Hall road back to Sai Kulwant

Hall and got down at the lobby and sat on the sofa at 3:55p.m. He

sat through for an hour and 15 minutes listening to the chanting of

the Vedas and Mangala Aarathi was performed at 5:10 p.m., when He

got up from the sofa. There were no Bhajans in the evening.

Events at Prashanthi Nilayam - Tuesday, 13 JUL 2004

 

Swami came at 8:50 a.m. and picked up a few devotees for interview.

Bhajans were held from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

 

In thye afternoon, Gujarat Chief Minister Sri Narendra Modi came at

2:50 p.m. He was offered a chair to sit down, but he preferred to

sit on the floor and wait for Swami to come. Swami came at 3:10 p.m.

and drove through the hall including the Gents side and got down

near the interview room. He took Sri Modi inside for interview at

3:20 p.m. After the interview, Swami came out at 3:55 p.m. and the

Veda Chanting was resumed. At 4:00 p.m., Swami asked an ex student,

Sri Bhandari to speak. He spoke for 15 minutes and then Swami asked

Sri Anil Kumar to speak. Sri Ani Kumar spoke till 4:55 p.m. Bhajans

started at 4:55 p.m. At 5:10 pm, Mangala Aarathi was performed and

Swami returned to Poornachandra Hall.
