Events at Prashanthi Nilayam - 08 JUL 2004

 

Swami came to Sai Kulwant Hall in the morning at 8:20 a.m. and drove

straight towards the interview room and got down there. He picked up

a few devotees for interview. The Veda Chanting stopped at 8:30 a.m.

when the interview room door was closed. Bhajans were held as usual

from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

 

In the afternoon, Swami came at 3:50 p.m. and drove straight towards

the interview room and got down there. A few devotees were lucky

enough to be picked up by Him for interview. Swami came out at 4:25

p.m. and sat on His sofa in the lobby. At 4:30 p.m., He permitted

the Music College students to present an Instrumental Music program

called ¨Rudra Thandava¨ with four boys playing on the Veenas. They

called it Rudra Thandava because the main item of the program was

the playing of ¨Bhasma Bhushitanga Sai Chandrasekhara¨ Bhajan with a

lot of variations. After that at Bhajans started at 4:50 p.m.

Mangala Aarathi was performed at 5:10 p.m. when swami left for

Poornachandra Hall.

Swami came at 7:50 a.m. and like yesterday, drove straight to the

interview room and again a few lucky devotees were called for

interview. The darshan was over at 8:00 a.m. Bhajans were held from

9:00 a.m. to 9:25 a.m.

 

In the afternoon, Swami came at 3:20 p.m. The buggy drove straight

towards the gents side and turned a little before the usual route

towards the lobby. Swamy got down at the lobby and sat on His chair.

He then sent one of the boys to call a few devotees from the ladies

side and got up and walked to the interview room. The interview was

over at 4:00 p.m. and swami came back and sat at the lobby at 4:00

p.m. At 4:05 p.m., the Music college boys gave a carnatic music

recital. When they started the program with ¨Omkar¨ Swami asked them

to come to the lobby and sit down beside Him and sing. They did so.

The program lasted for almost one hour after which mangala Aarathi

was performed at 5:10 p.m. and swami left Sai Kulwant Hall for the

day.
