Guest guest
SAIRAM to all of you. I am venkat living in Nigeria for last 3 years. Many amongst you must be aware of my life here about which i described in few mails earlier this month. Now i am making all my efforts to return back to SAI PATH and live upto the mission for which he is educating STUDENTS at his HOLY FEET. Last week suddenly a thought came to my mind while i was in my evening prayers. Swami is doing so much in the field of medical services, infact the impossible for anybody else to do in this world - FREE MEDICAL AID. But all this is in India. Now when we think globally, i felt if there can be a possibility of setting up a free medical centre in a country like NIGERIA where there is no medical aid. Here there are no speciality hospitals for any kind of health disorders. Although the country is OIL RICH and a imporatant member of the OPEC, its unfortunate that the governments over past so many years since its independence have been corrupt from top to bottom and it is increasing day by day. So the rich are becoming richer and and the poor becoming poorer day by day. Its really unbleievable to say that a country where over 22 europian/western airlines operate daily, there is not a single hospital except for few clinics. There are few govt hospitals where the patients are in devastating conditions. Can we all think of setting up a SAI HEALTH CENTRE in this country? Since it is a centre point for the west african belt, people from nearby countries can also come here for their treatment. I wish to know the email of MR.INDULAL SHAH or the concerned authority in the SATHYA SAI INTERNATIONAL TRUST so that i can contact them. The people here need medical releif. Although there are many NGO's here, all are not serious, many have set up NGOs to extract money from western SPIRITUAL MISSIONS and it is not used for the purpose of the charity. There is a study that millions of dollars are recieved in this country in the name of charities from WESTERN MISSIONARIES but nothing reaches the poor. There is a SAI CENTRE in LAGOS, NIGERIA where bhajains are held on sundays and NARAYANA SEVA is also done on the sunday mornings, but i feel that is not enough. There are many SAI DEVOTEES amongst the industrialists but i donno any of their participation in charities. Kindly help me reach any of the members of the SATHYA SAI INTERNATIONAL TRUST to set up a EHVV CENTER AND HEALTH CENTER in this country. I will be highly grateful to you all for the above. SAIRAM TO ALL OF U. Regards Venkat

Guest guest
Dear brother Venkat, I am a new member to this group and I must say it is my only source of daily satsang. I am happy to belong to this great family. Keep up all the good works you are all doing. The issue of medical centre in Nigeria is wonderful. I live in Nigeria and an office bearer in our own centre in Ibadan. There are 9 Sai centres and several groups across Nigeria with 5 in the Lagos area alone. The centres are very vibrant and active in all the Wings of the Organisation. There is a Central Trust and a National Coordinating Committee which take decisions at the National level. The Central Working Committee is filled with very selfless and dedicated men and women who work tirelessly to live up to the Sai ideals and deliver the Sai message through seva, educare and interfaith spiritual dialogues. There is already a Sai school in Lagos which started a few years ago and I am always amazed to see how fast and beautiful the work is growing. I believe any selfless work receives Swami's grace! Medicare in Nigeria is very bad. Sai devotees in Nigeria have been holding rural medical camps and adopted villages for healthcare delivery for the last 30 years but we are yet to have a permanent medical centre. I am happy you know too that there is so much money in Nigeria. I don't think we need the Central Trust in India to initiate this project for us. Lets look within. If we conceive of an idea, plan together as a group and call for grace, it will be given. Sai's power and grace is working through millions of His vessels all around the world (including you) in Nigeria. I have forwarded your letter to the Sai headquarters in Nigeria and will also encourage you to attend bhajans and participate in any service programmes they have and all your contributions will be useful.
