Thank you very much for the book Sathyam Shivam Sundaram on the net, which I

printed started enjoying reading it, but, however I came across one of the

paragraph please advise on this

where it state that Sai Baba as a growing child will not go to any place where

meat is prepared and also refused to eat it

I'm a Sai devotee and I love Sai Baba and only fast on Mondays, Tuesdays and

Thursdays and I do eat meat on the rest of the days

How does this effect me spiritually, will our wonderful Sai Baba be with me all the time?

Swami has 10000000 times stressed MY LIFE IS MY MESSAGE.

Then later He changed it to YOUR LIFE IS MY MESSAGE.

Swami never advises anyone to eat meat - there are some subtle messages He has

given in discourses - and these are to be understood in life.

Vegetarianisn is not something you achieve overnight - you have to distance

yourself from meats and stay away - which maybe very difficult - ask your 2" x

2" tongue.

Remember, emulate Swami in your life - if He has never taken meat - surely there

must be nothing good in meat for the whole of humanity. When I was in the US,

Indian Americans wd say have beef JP its not the cow you worship in India - but

these are American Cows - which are not worshipped. Meats change the way we look

at things - and staying away from meats also changes the way you think / behave

/ visualize.

Sai Ram - Be Happy

JP

PS: Why be a vegetarian - ask again.

Sai Ram, dear Jatindar Shad,

Thanking you for your message below.  Being vegetarian for many years, due to

the immense cruelty to Baba's creatures, I was so grateful to be drawn into the

Sai Fold and know that Swami admonishes us to not eat animals.  Imagine my

surprise when many would tell me that 'Swami doesn't really mean that'!

Beloved Lord Sai tells us that the animals are not here for us to slaughter

and eat, but rather they are here for their own outworking (poorly paraphrased

from Swami, I apologize!)

May all be infinitely blessed by the Sacred Nama of Sai!
