Light and Love

"The one Spirit is the in dweller in all beings" (Sri Bhagawan Sathya Sai).

The seminar "Spirituality, Environment and Science in the light of Sri

Bhagawan Sathya Sai Works" in Estonia on 5 - 7 August 2004 is organised.

The idea to organise in the frame of the seminar the section of stand

reports as experiences how authors have put into practice Swami's Teaching and

human values, I received from Sai-NET guidelines and satsanghs.

Sai-devotees and followers, members of 'saibabanews' who is interested

take part in seminar stand section with reports via distant contributions are

velcome.

The first circular

Public Seminar for teachers and specialists:

"Spirituality, Environment and Science in the light of Sri Bhagawan Sathya

Sai Works" in Estonia on 5 - 7 August 2004.

Motto: The humankind may reach to the higher level of consciousness, when a

scientist and a saint is connected in one person.

The purpose of the seminar to raise a level of spiritual and ecological

consciousness among the teachers, specialists and to entwine Sathya Sai basic

human values through practice into general educational systems our country, all

countries... An actual topic of seminar is a discussion how, (by which

experiences) to put to practice Sathya Sai Human Values (Truth, Love, Right

Conduct, Non-violence, Peace, i.e. Prema, Sathya, Dharma, Shanti, Ahimsa). The

same qualities are the keywords for ecological consciousness, culture and

morality and for all humans' conscious activity. These values put into

practice will protect humankind from full breakdown and self-destruction.

Several views of modern science have reached to the same position.

"What the head thinks, should be examined critically by the heart and the right

decision should be carried out by the hands. This should be the primary process

of education." (Sri Bhagawan Sathya Sai).

Target group

Teachers of pre-schools, primal and secondary schools, teachers and students

of high schools, specialists (lawyers, doctors, economists, etc.) and all, who

interested to take part in the seminar.

(About a half of active target group is Sai devotees or Sai followers. For the

others the seminar is as a channel to introduce Message of Sri Bhagawan Sathya

Sai).

Outcome

Knowledge and experiences received on seminar would be turned into

actions both at educational work and in private life on the basis awareness and

of harmony between human beings in the society and in the nature.

The role of Bhagawan Sathya Sai as the world Teacher and His Teaching is

the subject considered on seminar from different aspects connected with nature

and science, humans responsibility before nature (Creator) and society.

The seminar is organized outside of Official Sai Organisation yet is

engaged in similar goals of spreading the higher spiritual message through

Teaching of Bhagawan Sathya Sai (who's Works published in thousands of

editions and available in Internet) as complementary aspect of the one and the

same purpose - to avoid ecological destruction and self-destruction of humanity

through science and environmental consciousness entwined with spirituality and

put into practice.

The organiser of seminar is the official Department of Adult Environmental

Education (for teachers and specialists) at Tallinn-Nõmme's Youth House.

(The seminar is neither commercial nor belong to NGO, it is educare and

service oriented. It is free for teachers, specialists and to all who is

interested in seminar).

The seminar is carried out in the hall of Nomme's Youth House, Nurme 40,

Tallinn, Estonia (or in the hall of Ministry of the Environment Republic of

Estonia, Toompuiestee 24, Tallinn) and in the hall of Municipal Government in

town Elva, Estonia.

Good ideas, advices, recommendations and also wishes to join in the

seminar 's distant stand section are appreciated. The seminar's contributions

are guided by Swami's golden direction:

"You may be very enthusiastic to spread the message of the Lord, but the

one and the only sure way of doing it is by translating the teachings in to

action in your lives. Your thoughts, words and deeds must be saturated with the

love and message of the Lord. Then the message of the Lord will spread

effectively throughout the world and transform everybody." (Sri Bhagawan Sathya

The selection of mails with ideas, insights, personal experiences connected

with Sri Bhagawan Sathya Sai Teaching and His personality will print out as

posters for the stand sections of seminar. Contributions via mails to

'saibabanews' (or private mails) is good to entwine with development of modern

science, environmental consciousness, ecological culture and educare.

Authors of mails (as copyright contributions) are the distant participants

of this seminar. Only these mails to 'saibabanews' or private mails are

selected to the stand reports section which have a note from author "It is

authorized to use as the report at the seminar "Spirituality, Environment and

Science in the light of Sri Bhagawan Sathya Sai Works."

There is a wish to select the reports of seminar into e-booklet with

additional explanations and notes and will dedicate it to the Sri Bhagawan

Sathya Sai's Birthday, 2004.

Saturday, 7 Aug 2004

The third day of seminar is the day of a study trip "See Bhaghawan's

blessing in all." The study trip is entwined with story-telling and experiences

reflected the ecological style of life, natural healing, practical skills and

the inheritance of ancient cultures, near to nature.

The day is dedicated to the sustainable development, science and spiritual

culture as it is seen through vision of wild nature where Swami's Cosmic Form

is reflected.

10-00 - 17-00 The study trip to the districts near Elva.

Discussions and sharing personal experiences concern to the topic of

seminar.

Teaching of Sri Bhagawan Sathya Sai through 'eyes' of nature.

A study trip by foot and cars to the wild nature with forests, springs,

hills ...Meditation and contemplation. The mossy trees, rivers, springs and

flowers... they all are expressions of Atma, of eternity. Enjoy, listen and

see!

in the different countries in the local conditions?

5. Teachers prior duty is to practice human values in their own lives, then

to teach it to the students through their own experiences.

6. Nature and science and environment - towards sustainable development.

8. Ecological consciousness and ecological culture begins from spiritual

(These values are considered as universal qualities of character for human

development, what is a prime condition towards ecological and spiritual

consciousness).

General comments, standpoints

Each country, each region has its own special features, problems,

cultural background and history. The same system will not suit to all

countries. The universal human values are the same for all countries. Humans'

duty is to live according to the universal human values, and to put them into

practice. For this purpose independent thinking is needed. The seminar is

directed on teaching environmental consciousness through universal spiritual

human values and modern science. The significant attention is given to the

parts of Sri Bhagawan Sathya Sai's Teaching about Sathya, Dharma, Prema,

Shanti, Ahimsa and ancient wisdom of Vedas through explanations, analyses and

discussions. Teachers are the most important participants of the

seminar. Teachers - tutors of youth. They are transfering their experiences to

the young generation, insisting the ecological (environmental) and spiritual

consciousness and practical skills.

The topics of seminar are stressed to the need of connection spirituality

and science, to the development of universal human values as everyone's inner

set, what motivated the persons to be aware that Oneness (Atma) is the same in

the universe and in humans Self. (By modern science Atma - Cosmic

Consciousness).

Reality of the 21-st century has created throughout history of mankind,

what is contained as a forward-looking so also reactionary tendencies, which

fruits we have in front of us. Modern times of information and

technical-consumer- society produces much its own shapes of delusion.

To advance and better of all kinds relations in human society, the

environmental education is a part of spiritual culture. It is effective when it

is integrated with spirituality what is inseparable from the nature and genesis

of human awareness.

(One may learn by heart thousands theories and methods, it is possible to

build up all planet with devices for cleaning of water, air, ground, etc. from

pollution. For it has spent a huge amounts of material sources, technology

what in turn causes the additional waste products. Environmental consciousness

based on spirituality by Teaching of Bhagawan Sathya Sai is that level what can

lead humanity to the spiritual enlightenment and sustainable development).

Sai Ram,

Reet has been very kind to bestow upon me this honourable opportunity to share

my SAI experiences with all devotees in Estonia - first hand in person.

I pray to Bhagwan for His Grace and Blessings that I may be able to deliver His

message to His Devotees in His own inimitable way.

Of course, besides knowledge, there are some butterflies in my stomach. To the

Sai Family - can I pray for help - those of you who are experts in lecture

giving or public speaking - what tips can you give me to keep the butterflies -

all buttered up.
